The husband's project. I promised not to interfer. Let me tell you that this is NOT EASY for me. 😅 Not because of his skills, but because of who I am as a person.
He begun by folding the (beautiful) seed into a wet kitchen towel and putting both in a box with a closed lid. Three days later we saw no development, so we took another seed. Then, of course, on day 4, the first seed sprouted... What will we do with seed number two?! Dang.
He used the wick system in the 12l pot and mixed light mix soil with pumice. The freshly cracked seed went into a Root Riot cube into a quite deep hole. Then he watered with GBN boosters (see above).
He then covered the pot with wet kitchen paper and waited for the sprout to come out of the soil.

Finally!!
I have to be honest: We nearly gave up on this enterprise. After we planted the seed, the tip of its root visible, we waited for a full week for it to show its head. It didn't, and when we took a look, it seemed the seedling had died.
But we planted another seed directly into a Root Riot cube, and @zoobzoob23 was right all along: patience is key! After five days, the tip came out.
Note to self: next time I will put the root riot cube into the soil from the beginning, so that no transfer is necessary.
So let's see how this will develop! Only change this week is the Fast Plant spray.
While its sister project Mikromachine came to an unexpected but temporary halt, this one is thriving! Added a little GBN CalMag and grow liquid because the leaves were a bit too light.
I am careful only to spray the plant right before the lights go off - what could these light dots be? (Info about the nutrients I used in the diary.) Thanks in advance!

... was probably what my husband was thinking and introduced supercropping. (Not my idea!) You can't really tell from the pictures, though. The plant recovered quickly. I removed the growth tips on the lower 2 nodes and only kept the leaves.
Everything else seems good.

The husband decided to let her grow in peace now and she looks good! No sight of flowers yet. Watered with nematodes.
Day 30: huge growth sprout over night! And husband accidently broke off a twig.
Day 31: grew even more! First pistils!

This is actually the first time that a plant of ours did a proper stretching in the beginning of the flowering phase. She doubled in size since last week and became really sturdy. So my husband seems to do things right in the end!? The plant looks radiant. A compact monster.
Day 38: 10cm more in the course of 2 days.
Day 40: another 8cm
Soon this plant is going to burst the closet it's growing in. She leaves no light for any other plant and I think I have to give up the idea to grow anything beside her.
Every day she drinks more than a liter of water, gets feedings every other day. I think she has a magnesium deficiency, so we are giving some GBN Organic CalMag next.
My husband's project: He uses the nutrients very experimentally and I cannot say for sure how much he used. Looks like CalMag is in order? What else might be going on? Thank you in advance.
Looks like the start of a bad ph issue.
I would see what you're numbers you're getting as far as ph and ppm for nutrients to see where she's at and that should give you a good overall idea.

And the problem from last week was most likely CalMag and is gone now.
Hemp is an astonishing plant after all - this one grew so healthy and big that we couldn't contain her in our small grow space. When four of the branches threatened to touch the lamp, the husband decided to supercrop them, so that their upper parts now lie horizontally in the tent. He put some GBN fast plant spray on the leaves afterwards and some fast start gel on the places where he broke them (why?), as an apology. =D
As you can see, the plant adapted immediately and the buds of these branches are already growing towards the lamp again. No sign of dying material at all. Strong genetics I think!
Who knows if it's because of our work or despite of it. 😅
She finally stopped growing in high and is now working on the buds. They get fatter every day and trichomes are finally showing. I think we have another two weeks till chopping day.
Husband defoliated heavily but she pays him no attention and does her thing. Kudos to Kannabia and Greenbuzz Nutrients!

Still going strong! The plant did not turn purple unfortunately, but has so many lovely buds, I had to make a video. Guest appearance: my left foot.
Although many pistils are still white, trichomes are starting to get milky. The husband stopped with the nutrients and only uses GBN Clean Fruits for the last week(s).
The color is changing at last!! Not purple (yet?), but a blue hue. Great!
We were away for 3 days and she drank a liter a day via the most simple blumat system. That was very convenient.
Smell and stickyness are average, I would say. I'm really curious about taste and effect! Also, the fade has begun and first trichomes are milky. Not much longer now.
Purple at last! The colours are seriously changing. Still not ready to chop, she is taking her sweet time, about half of the trichomes are still clear, no amber in sight. But it will be worth it: stickyness increased this past week.
A feeling like an armor made of candy floss. I thought "only" 16% might be soft compared to my other grows, but I can't complain! More of a night strain, but I had many funny moments with it, too. The smell is subtle and reminds ne of coffee.
517g wet, cleanly trimmed. This plant had to endure a lot and surprised us with its sturdyness. Biggest surprise was that she grew a lot of foxtails in the two last days when we turned the lights off. That's why the formerly purple buds that were perfectly ripe now partially are green again. Looking forward to try them and will write again.
@love_2_grow, thankfully, we have a machine for that. But yes, that would be so fun! We are hesitating because more tent space means better visibility, and not all visitors are open minded. That has to wait until 2023 (hopefully).
@love_2_grow, we will see next week if that worked out... Everything else I can think of to write here ends up much too lewd! I'll go and water the plants...
@kohlrabi, I wouldn't recommend it. I have seen photos of that, and it is always messy. It's better to bring out the shibari ropes and tie him down properly.
