2/28 today was first day I have not recorded any verticle change on the TB. GSC on the other hand stretched 3" last night and pulled dead even with the BC at 45" measured from soil. BC is absolutely loaded with budding sites at the top third of the plant. She's looking like a large yield in the making. The TB is almost nearly as impressive and her scent really came out today and I get pine, grapefruit, and grass. GSC is definitely exhibiting her trademark minty smell. BC and GG no real aromas yet. Upped a&b 1ml
3/1 BC aroma has arrived with all her funky cheese glory. No verticle gain again for TB and BC. I may be the luckiest jerk on the planet, 2 more inches and I would have had to learn how to supercrop. These 4 autos have filled out just about every cubic inches of usable space whilst still allowing good light penetration. Weather changed as well, major rain has moved on and humidity back to normal at 51%, but it hung in the high 80s for 3 days.
3/3 massive humidity swing and bottom fell out to 17% for a couple hours today and has stabilized at 30%. Weather predicting 40 to 50% next ten days. Praise things almighty! No verticle change 4 days BC and TB. GSC is now at 46"
3/4 BC is showing her blueberry lineage and starting to have some purple hue on stems and leaves which is nofmal per dinafems description
3/6 BC is now developing her berry smell, its absolutely intoxicating. i hadnt checked height for a couple of days and TB crept up and inch and GSC shot 3". i am now out of verticle space unless i can mcgyver a light rig. possible light burn on part of GSC.
Look at those big dark nuggets! Ive heard of a water cure, but never a "quick wash"! Thats neat. Bet its like the water cure but much faster. I wonder how flavor retention will stack up to an air cure. Can't wait for the smoke report
@Agronomist, I was a bit skeptical at first, but I saw too many trusted grower testimonials in other forums that I had to try it. The trichs really stood out after washing. The washing is supposed to enhance flavor by rinsing away 3.5 months of dust, over spray, insects, etc and create a smoother smoke. I sprayed diluted milk during flowering as a pm preventative (nasty cold rain rollled through for 3 straight days) so I wanted to ensure any residue was washed away.
The bud wash turned out great. It was unreal the amount of dust and debris that floated out of the buds. Drip dried the buds on a "clothes line" with a fan blowing over for 24hrs and dried out the excess moisture from the wash and then placed into my drying racks. Smoke was very smooth. Was an interesting experiment but not quite sure it was worth the extra effort. Maybe if you have a pet hair situation or really dusty grow area then I could see incorporating this into your harvest routine but I think it was a one time thing for myself.
Being 2560 miles away from my stash is rough, but I have met quite a few kind people here on Maui and have sampled some nice home grown intense sun raised buds. HI needs to get with the times
