2-25-23 First day of week 4- B-45 is has not made much new growth this past week. I put it back on the countertop tray with other seedlings. Meanwhile I set my sights on the next stage, growing on the seedling. The smallest panda bag is the next step. I cut the lenght to create the right porportions, punch out extra drainage/areation holes in crutial locations and label. I love to smoke in my grow and I have forgotten to label plants. To help myself, I double label. I use a plastic label that follows each germinated bean and I write on the bag. No heat in the veg area at the bottom of my baement stairs. I hope it puts on some top growth this week.
2-28-23 I saw some roots emerge out one side of the new grow bag. I don't know what I did to set this plant back? It lost two sets of lower leaves and It's been sitting there. I cut back on water, shaded with row cover and prayed. I even thought about sprouting a second-SPARE. I'm thinking about B-45, veged to perfection, blooming in the flowering room this June and July...filling the space. It will get nice and warm during summer days and each night the old brick walls evaporate moisture in Colorado's dry climate and chills the coal room turned flowering room. This plant is gonna love it! That's where we're going.
@mcflow, It is small for seven weeks, disappointing cause it got off to a good start. I'm not giving up B-45. My flower room is perfect Maui weather, 74-76 degrees with a breeze. The indicas
love it. And now that it is in a different grow bag, it is doing better.
This is a very interesting strain especially because of the high THC percentage and flowering time.
I believe you are the only one growing it on grow diaries right now. I'll be following this diary.
What size of pot do you use? According to the info, outdoor it can have a yield of 1000+ grams (+2,2 pounds) so the yield indoor must be great too.
Good luck Anna !
@izzy89, oh thank you! I'll go deep in why, when and how I pot on. I don't have drains, rely on evaporation. I disbud everything that doesn't get direct LED light=90-95% is Anna smoking grade bud. My last harvest netted 1.6 oz./sq.ft. over the lighted 36 sq.ft. flowering area. I think the buds are heavier, stack out further, get harder when the plant has big roots. I'll also have plenty of time to take and root cuttings for planting outside 2023. I hope I do BOOBA proud
I grew another seed from the same packet beginning in November 2023, basement grow LED lights. Again the first to germinate, remarkably unremarkable consistent growth, buds seem to ripen from underneath to top, a perfect pin cushion of colas, but it's the high! I'm in Colorado, experienced smokers, and given 4 different samples everyone picks B-45 out for the high. It's the perfect variety for my grow and B-45 does the job with all us everyday users. Granny Grows says try it!
2-4-23 First day of week 2. Booba's B-45 is heads and tails above the other two seedlings I started at the same time. My veg is an unheated cellar type basement in Colorado and it's been cold, down to 44 degrees F at night, in the 60s during the day. The grow mat keeps the root zone warm and I cover with a light row cover at night to trap the rising heat off the mat. Less than ideal conditions. That's what I have and Booba's Baby loves it! I trimed the rootlets to encourage branching and added support with thin wire and thread. When the weather warms I'll fertilize with 1/4 tea/gal. I'm aware that when the temp drops outside the heat mats come on and stay on, drying the seedlings out. I keep water nearby.
