Never grown a pure cbd strain before. Planning a thc break in May for a month, so figured this will help. Can't really find cbd flower in South Africa so I'm gonna grow my own.
This will be the last plant I grow for the summer.
This girl came into the world in the middle of a heatwave. She's been outside in the sun since she sprouted and handling the heat, wind and low humidity well.
Just been making sure she has enough water everyday and misting her here and there.
Life is good.
Been a rainy and cloudy week, so direct sun has been a bit scarce.
She's doing well though and putting out her 3rd node now. Hoping for some good growth this week now that we're into proper veg.
It's been another very wet week with pretty much no direct sunlight and this coming week is supposed to be the same. The joys of growing outside :)
The girl is still growing and looking well. 5th node is starting to appear.
Will start spraying her with a bit of neem oil this week as a mildew preventative, especially with all of this rain.
Another very wet week, with very little sunshine.
She's been growing well regardless, but out of nowhere we got a leaf miner attack. I have sprayed with neem oil which I'm hoping has done the trick.
Was going to start lst, but am going to first wait to see that the leaf miner invasion is over and and the plant hasn't been stressed too much.
We finally got a week with some good sunshine.
The leaf miners seem to have stopped at attacking only three leaves, so I decided to go ahead with the lst, which she's responded to well.
Also got our first pistils this week. The breeder says this strain takes 70 days from start to finish. Doubt that's going to be the case here, especially seeing as how there was hardly any sun for three weeks, but let's see how it goes.
Had a bit of a scare at the start of the week. I added some bone meal to the soil and before I could water it my dog proceeded to dig in the pot, eat some of the amended soil and by the looks of things damage a couple of the roots.
Fortunately it doesn't seem to have affected this girl much and she's been going strong this week.
She's starting to bush nicely and put out more pistils.
The weather's been good again this week and all is well.
Been another lovely week weather wise, had one big late night thunderstorm but that was about it.
I was planning on defoliating this week anyway, but found some powdery mildew soooo I took off more than I otherwise would have. Hoping it doesn't stunt her as she's quite small to begin with.
Also sprayed the plant with a mild hydrogen peroxide solution to try and contain the PM. Hopefully it works because there's still quite a while to go before harvest.
On the positive side of things the bud sites look good and I think she's going to look awesome in a couple of weeks.
Still battling with PM on this girl. Had to take off more leaves and spray with h202 again this week.
She looks lovely and I'm going to persevere till harvest but there's a good chance that the buds won't be a safe smoke. Let's see what happens.
This girl is looking healthy for the most part but she just can't shake the PM. I am spraying with a hydrogen peroxide solution, which is slowing the spread of the PM, but with at least 2 weeks to go before harvest, the battle has only just begun.
The buds are looking quite airy, so hopefully they start filling out soon.
Autumn is now in full swing and it's starting to get a bit cooler in the day and night.
I've been neglecting this girl terribly the last two weeks and even missed last week's grow diary. Disgraceful stuff :)
No longer feeding nutrients and am just letting her ride. In spite of my lack of attention she's still healthy and strong (albeit with mf'ing PM on the leaves).
By the looks of things she's about a week away from harvest. Still very little smell unless you touch the buds.
