So my first grow hasn’t come without its struggles. All seeds popped out of the ground 2 days after being planted, and I proceeded to overwater them. At least that’s what it appears based on my research and how the Critical+, and to a lesser extent the wedding glue, are showing with their downward curled leaves and the soil being quite moist for several days after their watering. Despite being watered the same amount, the hulkberry appears to be thriving and you can even see the soil looks a little lighter/dryer, which further makes me think that overwatering was the issue. Wedding glue recovered nicely throughout the week, but the critical+ still appears a little flimsy and twisted, but hopefully she bounces back as well. Now that we’re officially in veg I’ve turned the light up to 75% and moved the target humidity from 70-75% to 60-65%.

Should I defoliate the remaining primarily yellow-brown, water stress damaged leaves on the hulkberry, or are they functioning and contributing to the growth of the plant and not harming it?

Believe it or not they are contributing to photosynthesis. The green parts at least. What I like to do is just take my snips and clip off the burnt edges. Hope this helps.
