Time flies when you're having fun. I am actually later than I wanted with germination. I am attempting to start a perpetual grow. I smoke a bunch more than I realized 😋 especially as the quality of the weed increases. Looking for some high energy Sativa leaning plants. So much to digest. I picked these ladies because of their description of color and effect as well as the company sounded pretty cool. I germinated by placing in a glass of water for approx. 18 hrs. then between cotton pads misted with water placed in Ziplock's with 1/4 size hole left in zip for air. I also mist a couple of times in bag. Leave until short tails appear then into Root Riot cubes surrounded by ex. clay. Note: like anything else there seems to be an optimal level with the moisture. For me, at least, I start out with a pretty moist setup. For whatever it's worth, all strains in this run included, some seeds sank some seeds floated, some were large, and some were tiny but all seeds from all companies germinated. I did have to soak 2 seeds for an additional 8 - 10 hrs. and then they developed tails.

Up and growing. A little leggy but off to a good start. Whoa...haven't bought a light yet. I have decided though. Medic Grow EZ 8. With a little luck it will be in and set up within a week. I would like to get all of the girls into their final homes. Just finishing new flower room. I should have enough space for at least 8 plants. At least for now, I like being able to move around on all sides of the plants. Gonna try the hands-off approach again. Especially during seedling and early veg. I don't know if this is optimal, but it is working for me now. Hands off for now being no nutrients and no "hot" soil until transplant into final homes whether it be soil or Hydro. I have used dechlorinated ph'd water (to 6.8) only. Just enough to keep the Root Riot and expanded clay moist. I am using a DIY light that currently produces around 80w.

Grow girls 👧 💕 grow. A tad leggy still. Maybe my DIY light is weaker than I thought. Maybe the Sativa in them. I'll take care of this in a few days when I get light and move to final pots. I want them in now. Looks like I might have one mutation. Very slow 🐌 to develop 🍃 set.

So far so good. I get so very nervous during this stage. Really, I stay on edge all the time. They are sort of tender now. So, I try to handle with care. Actually, I just make myself leave them alone. It's been said that the plant has enough natural nutrients to fed it for the first 3 - 4 weeks. That could be debatable if you were trying to achieve a "perfect" grow but I have better luck if I just give the plants water and light for the first 3-4 weeks. Now that said. Mine are a little pale and they want some nutrients. I transferred all the seedlings to their final home. These four 4 plants have gone into DIY Hydro setup and 2 have transitioned into "homemade" soil, 5- and 3-gallon buckets. I have no idea about the NPK or Ph of my soil (I know) but I plan on stabilizing with feedings. The soil composition is mainly coco, perlite and very little humus and "homemade" soil so I should be Ok... I hope? Anywho, I am just watering around the root riot cube and the cube itself. Very little water. No need to get all that unknown soil in the game yet. Micro doses are my plan. Oh, I sprinkled some mycorrhizae in the area where I transplanted. In the Hydro, I have added Hydrogaurd and very very little cal-mag. Although I cleaned and soaked the clay pebbles the water is very very cloudy. I will change it in a day or so. Especially since it's not full of expensive nutrients... yet. They are in my New 6x6 Flower Room where they will Veg and flower under the Medic Grow EZ-8 1000w light. After this grow I hope to use this room just to flower perpetual grows. DIY SETUP (approximately 18 gals, don't know yet) -Lowes 5-gallon buckets. +/- $12 -2" PVC under $50 -Vivosun air pump under $50 -vivosun water pump under $30 -Big air stones and hose under $50 - I used a garbage can for my reservoir -uni-seals for bulkheads under $50 Light and reflective film and that is it. Haven't had time to experiment with light yet as far as distances and power. It has % dimmer switch and I don't have it on 100%. I just got everything set up. So for the next couple of days I will try to keep PPFD around 500. ANYBODY have any thoughts? In about a week I will begin giving full line of nutrients.

It's been hectic in the grow room. Finally have these ladies in solution and beginning to show some vigor. The ugly leaves are not a concern right now because I am relatively sure that the deficiencies that I see are from germination, transplanting and them wanting Nutrients before I wanted to let them have em. Looking at the emerging leaves they are smooth, consistent healthy green color and are showing some vigorous growth. We hope to leave ugly behind. Going to keep my ppm around 600 and see how they respond. I would like to have a good strong Vegetative cycle for just over 30 days. Stuck extra sprouts in soil. I didn't plan on 100% germination. Although 2 strains, in the tent, are reg seeds not sexed so, I could wind up eliminating a few plants. Heat is going to be an issue with this grow if I don't address it very shortly. I think I am going to try a window unit located in this room and vented under the house to a crawlspace. This might solve both temp and humidity issues associated with my region. It may actually give me a considerable amount of environmental control over this room (flower) and adjacent room (Veg). I am going to change reservoir often be consistent with Hydrogaurd and maximize the timing on lights (to reduce heat)

I say it every grow... but what a difference a week makes at this stage of the game. These girls have really grown. The are developing great and growing fast. The leaves look a little janked with color so I will keep an eye on them. It may just be a deficiency of some sort. I am still not really good with this new setup. I need to get good soon. Changing reservoir once a week. My past experience with this "time of year" grow have been bad. So, I a a little gun shy. Also, installed a small window AC. Works great but I would like one just a little larger. This is one I had already, and it is not that efficient. I am slowly increasing PPM just trying not to overdo. These ladies will need topping and some giant fan defoliation in the next week or so. Bugs... f..king bugs. I am scared to death of spider mites. I will give a Preventive maintenance spray in a couple of days. Also, I will make sure the lights are out when I apply.

These girls are starting to look real nice. Pics don't show yet, they are about 5 days younger than this comment. You will just have to trust me they look pretty healthy and are beginning to put on some real vigorous growth. I am getting my Nutrients a bit more stabilized and under control. Increasing ppm to 800 All plants got topped at or around the 7th or 8th set of branches. In the past this has proven to produce manageable size plants for me. These plants are vegging in what will be a dedicated flower room for future grows. I have one room with a 450w light and this room with a 1000w light. I am attempting to start a perpetual grow. What happens if I fill each room up with autos and rotate every time I harvest? Does it turn into sort of a quasi-perpetual grow? I don't know. Responses welcome. Just over 1/2 way thru on veg cycle. Thinking about next germination round. Sprayed Neem oil for pest control and will do so again this week. I'm telling you... those little bastards are ruthless.

I have increased the Nutrients. Decreased the Nitro, beginning to give more P & K. The plants look healthy, and grow is vigorous. 2 plants in hydro have outsized the other 2 significantly. Well one plant has stayed small and never been topped in an effort to even the canopy. A word of advice...but only for RDWC. So as the roots grow, they fill up both the container and the pipes and into the reservoir. I have 5-gallon buckets and 2" pipe. So... as they grow, they restrict flow. What happened to me was an overflow from the first 2 buckets because I filled the reservoir as the pump was running. My flow rate out of the reservoir was more than my intake because of restriction, from roots, in the pipe between the buckets. Problem avoided by filling the reservoir with the pump off, to the fill line I had marked. I trimmed some of the largest fan leaves. Sprayed neem oil for Pest Prevention. I will flower in a week. I will probably trellis. Neither of the soil plants are the size or robustness of the Hydro.

I was afraid that I would run out of space. I have never grown this strain and I have no idea about how they will stretch. They, at least 3, were growing super-fast. Note: Great strain for ScrOG. I want to trellis; I am being lazy. Keep the ppm at around 1000 did lower the Grow Nutrient and Increased the Bloom and Epsom salt. No more overflow problems... thank heavens. Lot of pretty tops. Should be a sweet grow if I can keep them healthy. Weather has stabilized some and temperatures have dropped. Allowing me to turn the Window A/C off for a few days. I changed and have changed the reservoir on a weekly basis when the temperature is hot. Like it was a week ago. I feel that this along with Pest Prevention is going to be key in pulling this hydro grow off. These plants appear very healthy. I am going to give them another couple of days @ 80% on light and attempt to increase to 100%. A lot depends on stretch and what overall canopy looks like at the end of the week. 80% might be adequate. I would love to avoid any stress or assuming I make it that far... fox tailing... at the end of Flower. 🙏 Fingers Crossed.

Really, really thick on the interior. Small amounts of leaf picking most every day. Some pruning. I am going to try and have most of the defoliation and pruning done by day 25 of flower. Getting close. Each lady has grow differently. From small and compact to large and bushy. One girl has a giant girth on her branches. When I first started, I wanted and thought everything had to be perfect and consistent. Not always true. I like growing sort of like the plant would grow naturally. I know, probably not the "perfect" way to get quality weed, but I like it this way. A little less work also. The 2 plants in soil are also doing well just not as vigorous with the vegetation. Going to get some clones of that big-stemmed mama. They are drinking tons of water and consuming their food, so I am not going to change much. I do change the reservoir, in full, every week. With the amount they drink each day they are sort of self-changing. Sort of like my car does with oil. 😬 They need to slow down a bit on the stretch. I don't really want them much closer to the light. 😎 Don't think they will see 100% on the light. When I have tested a lot of my ppfd's were over 1000 and I don't know anything about CO2.

Wow... some color. It's neat to me how it can appear really quickly. Seems like almost overnight. Fairly large defoliation (for me) and some pruning. Soil plants are shaped up great. The hydro always needs quite a bit of defoliation beginning early on ending on or about day 24 of flower. I did not train at all, so some of the lower branches never quite made it up top and I chose to prune. Some plants open better than others. Not much consistency in size. Other than the fact that I am crazy about proportions, centering, and so ... the difference is not that big of deal. However, one, most likely two of the hydro are getting close to light. Producing buds very quickly. I hope it continues. Starting to show some Pinkish/Purplish color. Everyone seems healthy I did add just a touch of Nitrogen to Hydro to green up some.

Everybody is doing their own thing. Two plants are giants. One has bunches of colas with good stems and the other has fewer colas but the stems are massive. Then there is one small plant and one medium plant. All seem healthy and will probably produce some nice buds. I am not familiar with this sort of " Shaggy " structure with bunches of sites. Sort of drippy look to the sugar leaves. They are longer and thinner than I am accustomed to. Really getting close to the lights but no stress showing yet. I was able to raise my light roughly 4 more inches which will probably help. I will continue to feed at the current PPM and then begin to slowly decrease. Light defoliation, pruning, and reservoir change. Roots are really blocking me up. Does anyone in Hydro trim? If so, when? Not sure about smell description but coming on fairly heavy now.

Disclosure statement: I may have this weeks photos the same a last weeks and last weeks may be this weeks... Ok, being high the majority of the time doesn't assist in filling these diaries out. 😛 Thats not bad news but the good news is that both weeks are essentially the same. I hope these girls, or at least two of them, are done. Tops are in the 1000+ PPFD range. Not showing in real signs of stress. I am just holding my breath. I changed the reservoir. Used Bloom Nutrient pretty hard. I am still learning and figuring out ways to determine which Nutrient the plant is using at any specific time. When my PPM's don't drop and even increase I gather that it is time to slow on Nitrogen's and move toward the bloom and boost Nutrients. My grows also need additional Magnesium and Calcium at this point. Some really deep, dark pinks developing from inside, close to the stems. Now the smell has picked up. Some kind of Funky shit going down in the City. I don't know what it smells like yet, just real funky. If you touch it the funk just adheres to ya. Really spikey full pistols. It's not really a problem for me at this stage of my learning. But out of 6 plants, no single one is even close to being similar. This partly because of hydro vs soil, ME, and pot size but they are still vastly different. Again, problems with lighting can be compensated with the ones in soils by raising or lowering. The ones in hydro, basically my "A" strain in the tent can be evened out by scrogging but I don't always like to do that. I'm a natural type guy. All this to say I wish they were the same size but I am having fun with the grow. Weather has actually been helpful the last few weeks with some unseasonably dry and cool weather. My fingers are cramping from being crossed.

Check out this bunch of bull crap. I mean that in a good way. These Hydro girls are going crazy. I don't really know what to say that I haven't already said. I love the plants. I have gotten "behind the chains" with my defoliation. What happened was like going to the grocery store when you are hungry. Essentially, I have too many plants and its a pain in the ass to get in there and do what I need to. I will continue to take leaves until I get some nice isolation of branches, just not many at one time. Obviously I would like anyone to comment that gets this far but what do you think I have done to funk up my leaves. Don't think I let PPM's or Ph go crazy but it's possible. Upside down canoe on Sugar Leaves only or Sugar/fan... who knows??? Anyhow, I wonder if it might not be like my curled leaves on my Burnt Orange Cookies. CreepySteve... what do you think. It really is Creepy how much this guy knows and how many questions he answers. But he knows his stuff. Ok, exciting colors developing in the interior of the buds. I would call it a deep pink. Really cool looking. I don't know why I think of a Black Eyed Pea when I look at this but that's what it reminds me of. These babies stink. Stink in a good way though. Again, I'm just gonna call it a Skunked up ArmPit Funk that smells delicious and seems to saturate anything it comes in contact with. I hope these plants finsh strong. I'm very curious. Normal trichome production but nothing to write home about. Similar to the Blackberry Moonrocks I see some yellowing and fade. I am wondering if this is a deficiency or just the beginning of the end. Oh, did I mention that I... yes me and my continuing battle with valves flooded the basement where I grow. I figured somewhere in the neighborhood of around 200 gallons.😖 I surrender. 😵 Man... my dumb stoned ass can't remember to turn the reservoir fill valve off to either one of my systems. Maybe one day. I may have mentioned this before but it has occurred to me, thru much experience, that valves are much like women. Most are not very difficult to operate and figure out but don't ever make the mistake of fucking with more than one at a time. TRUST THIS OLD GOAT (OG) IF YOU DO... YOU ARE JUST BEGGING FOR TROUBLE. 😮

At this point I am just trying to finish the girls out. Hydo plant need almost constant Defoliation and I typically just take a handful every now and then. These girls have gone wild. I am pulling leaves as I speak. I have about decided that my funky leaves occurred because of Nitro Tox. So these girls have sort of turned into DWC in these late stages. If I use the pump it pools in the container with the funky leaves. Not only should I have been very careful with nitro. (I thought 2 early for leaves to yellow) that one plant got a top to bottom dose of hot juice. Well, anyway, still flowering just may stunt the buds. I don't have many grows under my belt but I have not had flower/bud development like I am seeing with these plants. I have seen pictures of primarily Sativa dominants with cones that look like mine but again, never grown any. Is this type of development common? I am used to almost single chunks. Node spacing has some input but I believe it is probably genetics. Cut back on Nutrients, eliminated Cal-Mag + I guess at this point many plants show many different colors. Senesce? So "roughly" when should you not worry so much about deficiencies? Like I mentioned above... treating perceived deficiencies or deficiencies caused by natural ageing can lead to serious problems. Thats for stopping by... any suggestions or comments would be welcomed and appreciated. Thanx

New light, new varieties and numerous screw ups by me. All this to say that I am in the home stretch and excited to see how these ladies turn out. In fairness to the breeder (Mass Medical) the description of this strain mentioned that the Phenos would vary in appearance and smell. And they do. Some are very gassy and then some smell like foot odor and toe jam. You know... those wonderful smells we all crave. Crazy logic. "Weed Logic". Traveled to the Appalachian Mtns for 5 days of backpacking around Sapphire and Cashiers, N.C.. Simply Incredible! No towering heights, I was around 5000', 50 F, a wonder to see and a great re-set. Oh, believe it or not my plants don't need me every day. Nothing died. 😃 Slowing on the nutrients. At some point I thinks some of these girls got overdosed. Maybe not? They just look different. 3 gal in soil is showing some really nice typical bud development. Plants are fun to grow but a challenge in the hydro because of Vegetation growth.

Don't know what to say other than Wow! These girls are putting on a show. Yeah, I overdosed at some point with something. Nothing major and they have recovered good and beginning to add some mass on to the colas. 6 plants every plant seems to be different. From tall skinny colas to some nice chunky ones in the soil and hydro. Nice purple and pink interiors on the leaves and everywhere from skunky, armpits to rotten berries. Don't worry it's all good to me. Some nice trichome production, not real heavy but solid and sticky. Real bulky hardy stems but the weight is beginning to get the best of some of them and they are beginning to sag. Saw some decent bulk being put on this week. Getting close now. I'm not hurried so I will try and hit harvest on the nose. Thanks for stopping by. Any feedback is always appreciated. Good or bad. I'm just trying to learn. 😏

Playing catchup on all my dairies. Good time though. Most of my flowering plants are very close to harvest, including these pupilstan. I am actually going to harvest the smallest one, in soil, next week sometime. Different size, structure, smell, of the buds on each individual plant. Just seeing some fox tailing on the hydro's that are closest to the light. Still learning with this product. Just dechlorinated tap water at this point. I don't have any of the flush products. I will try one day. Everything is so damn expensive! Thanks for dropping by. Love to hear any suggestions or grow tips. Bright yellows, removing leaves as needed or when they fall.

Looking like about 10 days. I am running some de-clorinated tap water @ 350 ppm thru the soil plants every other day. The Hydro gals are bathing in the same. If it would ever rain I would use it to flush the soil plants. Yellow colors abound. I would like to think this is their normal show but I still think I missed something around the middle of flower. Or maybe too much of something. Although the soil plants are show the same processes. I have some really chunky buds on one soil and a couple of the hydro's. Also, some prominent fox tailing. Not bad for me. I smoke it all 😎 Especially, interested to see how this drys and smokes. I am not familiar with with many strains and types of weed. I am looking for that energetic, uplifting high type of sativa. See if these ladies will live up to the breeders description. Slightly different smells from armpits to rotten berry. Just picking the falling or about to fall leaves. Nothing major. This also makes the trim process easier and less messy. Thanks for checking me out Growmies. Any info of any type will be appreciated. Peace ! 🙏

Hey nice garden bro, is this your first run with that Medic Grow 1000 Watt light? I am running their Spectrum X 880 watt light now but its my first run. How do you like the light so far?

@Canna96, Thanks for kind words. My first run also. All plants (9) 4 in RDWC seem to have loved it in Veg. I have not cranked up to 100% yet and I might not. The 80% setting has been working great. I shall see how the plants flower. My first impression of the light is very good. Now... I have nothing to compare it to but it does heat my room up quite a bit. Well, I guess I should expect that. I hung the light high and I have not moved. Fingers still crossed but I believe this to be a good purchase. I wish the same and better for you. Good luck, gonna check you out now! I meant to mention... I am in a 6x6 with reflective walls. Basically, a tent, and the light covers this area completely. I have different size pots, but I am confident this light is enough for the entire room.
