Delta_9NPK Hello! This is my first EP on Growdiaries and I'm really excited! Today, February 8th, I started germinating the three little ones from Barney's. The seeds are placed inside a germination tray, I'm using a heating tube and an InkBird controller for the temperature so I can keep it around 22/23°C with an RH of 80%. I'm using the wet paper towel method, I hope that in 24/48 hours the little roots will pop out from the seeds! Today, 09/02/2023, all three seeds have germinated! 100% success! I'm impressed by the vigor of the Tropicanna Banana! On the other hand, the Gelato seems like it will be a lovely little diva! As they say, every curl has its whim. 🤣 Now the seeds have been placed in soil, specifically Lightmix from BIOBIZZ with an addition of mycorrhizae, specifically Mycos from Xtreme Garden! I misted them with distilled water at pH 6.3. 11/02/2023 And here we are with the new update on TheBarney's cycle! The little ones have all sprouted on time, I'm really happy with their vigor! The Tropicanna and Gelato have a small issue detaching the seed embryo from the cotyledons, to give them a little help, I misted some water from a distance. I avoided trying to remove it with tweezers for fear of damaging the little seedlings; I'm sure they will manage to solve this little annoyance on their own. I decided to turn on the lamp, setting it to about 20% (60W) at a distance of about 50cm. Unfortunately, I don't have a PPFD meter, I would have been more precise in setting the power and distance of the lamp. 😓 I set the classic light cycle to 18/6. I added an oscillating fan from Secret Jardin to stir the air a bit. Now, with lots of patience and love, we will wait for their growth! I'm really curious to see how long it will take for them to enter the vegetative stage! 12/02/23 Hello to all growers, here we are with a new update on TheBarney's cultivation!! The three little ones have stretched a bit, I decided to do a little refill with soil and give them a small misting. Besides that, I took them out of the germination box and added a humidifier connected to an InkBird to maintain a constant RH between 70% and 80%, gradually lowering the humidity until stabilizing it at around 65% to 70% RH. Other than that, nothing new... We'll catch up soon for new updates on the little ones, stay tuned and give me a like! 🙏💚 17/02/2023 Here's a new update on TheBarney's cycle! The little ones are growing little by little, today they finish their first week as seedlings! They have stretched a bit and to support them, I did a small refill of soil and watered them with 15ml each of water at pH 6.3 and Herba Power (amendment) 0.5ml per liter of water. That's all for this update, we'll catch up soon! 20/02/2023 Here we are with a new EP on TheBarney's cycle! The little ones have undergone a transplant today; I put them in 3L air pots and watered them with water at pH 6.3, amendment (Herba Power), and an algae extract (Herba Sweed) EC 0.45. Today marks 10 days since they entered the seedling stage, the first three-finger leaves are popping out; let's hope to soon see those with 5/7 fingers and finally start the vegetative phase! All in all, I see them healthy, they have a nice color, and the vigor of the Tropicanna and Gelato is astonishing me! That's all for now! Until the next update! 💚
