12 hours in water for germ, no taproot exposed when placed in soil. Fully soaked the COM soil with a long, slow, even watering before placing. Light set to lowest setting, humidity set at 80% with humidifier. Sprouted two days after planting around .75 inches into soil.
Photo taken 7 days from sprout. She was stretching and bending over a little so I gave her a top base of build a soil to straighten her out, and upped the light a little. Was pretty dry at day 7 so gave her a large watering. Probably could she gone at day 6, but don’t want to go too early just let her do her thing at as close as I could get to 80/80 temp/rh while a seedling
Watered with recharge when dry around day 10, not much else going on, other than maintaining tent environment. Next run I will be adding more perlite in to COM blend. This run I started by mixing in around 25 perlite. Drainage is good, not great. PH maintained at 6.3, and turned light up to follow chart of dli, went a little past that to test and also get the temp up a little in my tent. Seeming to respond well to the extra light
Photos taken Feb 1st. Sprouted on Jan 11th, so 21 days since sprout. Looking great. Feeding recharge every other feeding, ph reverse osmosis/spring mix water to 6.3 all organic phdown used if needed. Watering when pot top is dry to runoff.
Photo taken feb 7th. Growth is taking off, seeing some preflowering. Forgot to put in last journal I added the COM stongington blend veg nutrients, added to topsoil and mixed in.
Photo taken 33 days from sprout. Gave her bloom nutrient bone meal from COM mixed into top 2
Inches of soil and watered about a quart slowly. Watered again next day. Soaking pot almost every other day now, she can’t get enough. PH 6.3 water. Added ac infinity self watering wick pots - the pope is slurping up a gallon every 2-3 days and is getting huge. She may outgrow the tent
Little bit of nutrient burn on the tips. Used 1/4 cup Coast of Maine Bone Meal Flowering Nutrients. Mixed into topsoil and watered. Have been using recharge every other watering at double strength.
Had to buy a taller tent! Almost done stretching. Started to get a little light burn. Watering almost every day now and ac infinity self watering pots have been kept full.
Starting to frost up nicely. Nutrient burn is getting under control. Added COM squid juice. Some leaves were far gone, have defoliated pretty much every other day to allow light penetration to lower buds.
Entering the home stretch. Lots of frosting up over the last two weeks. Thinking about 2 more weeks until chop. Starting to purple around the top colas. Nutrient deficiencies and light burn cause yellowing and probably stunted my yield a little, but she is chugging along and Overall happy for my first grow.
