So I ended up using leftover soil from last years outdoor grow when I planted the seeds. There wasn’t 1 pot that was mainly coco and not much soil. That one hasn’t been retaining water so I’m getting some deficiencies in that plant. I’m going to keep it as is until I transplant outside. Hopefully she’ll bounce back
I got soil from my good friend who owns Rodrigrows Organics for my 45 gallon pots. I topped all the plants last week. I have split up 2000 Red Wigglers between the 6 pots and put a layer of hay down on top of the soil to help keep moisture in.
I started adding nutrients from my buddies company Rodrigrows Organics. My worms are still thriving. I have cut back some of the cover crop to keep the height down
It’s been nice that it’s cooled off a bit, the plants seem to really be loving it. I’m going to Defoliate them today when I get off work. They’ve also been getting 10-12 gallons a day with no issues.
I really failed at the beginning of this grow with not putting up any kind of netting or trellis. I’ve had to put bamboo in the pots and and wrap string around that way the branches can rest on it. I’ve noticed the buds are getting fatter.
Not much has really changed this week from last week. They are starting to swell up a bit more. Next week I think will be the time to start flushing them.
I’ve been flushing the plants for a week now. The colas have definitely gotten fatter from last week. It’s looking like I’ll be harvesting in 1 more week. Pretty much all the trichomes are milky and I’m starting to get amber ones.
I harvested the 2 plants and I’ve got them drying in my 4x8 tent. The temp in my tent is staying between 60F and 64F and humidity is 58%-60% they’ve been drying for 10 days so I’m hoping to get another day or 2 before I start trimming. I’ll post an update once it’s all trimmed and weighed up
This was a lot bigger grow than I had expected, in a good way. 45 gallon pots were a good choice. Next year I’m definitely doing better on trellis and supports, that’s where I definitely failed for this one. I definitely have enough weed to last me till next outdoor season. I’m working on getting some better genetics for next year. 23462
