I topped the plant two days ago and it has shown little signs of stress. I have added an auto-watering base from AC-Infinity to make the watering process more manageable and ensure I am less likely to overwater. Due to the topping, the lowers have had time to grow upwards and start to show through past the massive fan leaves. I will likely transplant it into a 3-gallon pot before the plant goes outside, however, this won't happen for a couple of weeks. I'm hoping to put the plant outside midway through May to ensure the sun is up long enough to not push the plant into flower early. Overall, the plant is looking healthy and, hopefully, will lead to a good first outdoor season.
