One code red had a very short tail and I killed it by mistake so a crescendo will do for this run
Will be growing with canna coco a+b, calmag plus and e401 sourced locally by Biodyne, which is like hydroguard or some bacterial additive. Trying to start seedlings at 200 ppfd and after one week taking it to 300 ppfd or so. I also have some autos that I'm not sure what they are in the tent so will see how that goes.
First time using coco and first time using autopots.
25/03 Today will soak the coco in calmag solution so it buffers a bit before transplanting tomorrow the code red, I'll maybe wait a bit on the Crescendo ... Or maybe not, will check roots.
26/03 transplanted to final pots, will be watering from the top a week or so and then autopots in theory.
Managed to prepare res at 1.3 EC, 5.7 pH, with the wave maker, will update nute composition in next week. Getting them about 300 ppfd. Started watering by hand with that composition on 27/03.
Been watering about 250 - 500 mL per day, I think the coco is getting more saturated, it's much more difficult to saturate than soil.
Upped nutes a bit according to canna schedule, plants seem doing ok, a nice soft green and a healthy grow each day.
Next step is turning on the system, maybe in a couple of days the leaves reach the end of the pots and I turn it on.
02/04 tried turning on system yesterday for the code red, she is taking very little amounts of water so not sure that it's bottom drinking, will keep an eye out this day. crescendo prob gets turned on next week
D16 06/04 Now the autopots are working, Code Red has like 3-4 days with the autopots and the Crescendo got about 1 day with the system onand no top feeding, seems to be working for now.
I was running the res pump ON 15 min each hour but changed it to ON during day hours And OFF during night hours because was seeing some pH change. AirDomes pump is running at about half power of the setting.
The pppfd is about 500. Will turn it up to 600 the rest of veg.
13/04 D27 for the code red, thinking about going into flowering soon, although she isn't showing sex yet she will soon, will try to veg her for one more week and go into flower.
Light ppfd is around 600, don't know if it's too much because she keeps stacking nodes closely on the main stem
14/04 did some topping on both on them, give them this week to recover and in 4-5 says they go into 12/12
22/04 Day 1 of flower. Did a bit of leaf tucking and took some off the plants. Also prunned them in the lower half of the plants. Upped EC to 1.45 aprox and today the lights for 12/12
Autopots are amazing, haven't done much this past few weeks other than check ph and the growth is super fast. Let's see how much they stretch in flower
F8 29/04 full throttle. Just refill about 16-20 liters of water each week for now, I'm thinking it will be going to be 25-30 at the peak for both of them
Code red is about 50 cm and crescendo 40 cm
F15 Code Red has exploded in growth, aiming to get to 70 cm while the crescendo will do 55 or so. Either way both look super healthy and on track to a great flowering.
I’m a little worried that the weeks 4-6 will be hard on the mute schedule, time will tell if they need the pk boost hard.
Easiest grow of my life with best results, auto pots are going to be staying on every subsequent grow.
F21 Starting week 4 of flowering, the code red is already about 80 cm and the crescendo around 70 cm. Pretty good for a 3-4 week veg from what I've had.
The tips on some leafs are a bit burned in the code red but besides that everything going fine, they are drinking like 24 liters every week
Can't believe the smell from the code red, it's amazing really, and the terps are forming everywhere, already want to smoke it. It's like a weird strawberry fruity soda of sorts. And the Crescendo isn't very smelly but it seems like will be getting an orange citrus aroma like the one before, not strong in flowering but after curing it gets much better.
F29 both are of similar height, code red is 80 cm and crescendo is 75 cm. Smell on both just keeps getting better, there is some tox on the code red but very manageable. Hope it stays this way from here to harvest
F36 corrected the doses this week, there appears to be some leaf tip burning on both now, don’t think I will get them to 2 EC as canna says, seems high for them.
They stopped growing in height and are now putting up weight and density.
Hope to see some colors on the Code Red this week or the next one.
Been filling up the res 1/week, maybe for 4 plants it makes sense to have 2 res, less work. But things are fire! Both smell really good and have an amazing size, hope to get 8 Z from both of them but will see.
F38 filled res with 1.65 EC water, seems that the code red is taking it better. Crescendo could be pushed more maybe 1.9
F43 beautiful buds all over the place and super strong smell. They are growing super nicely, crescendo has slimmer stems so she is having a hard time holding some of the buds, at last I'm using yoyos to stop her from breaking a cola, never thought I would see that day.
Having a few issues trying to fix giving more cal mag and taking the res closer to 5.8.
F50 Entering last week of flower according to strain data, tho it will go to 9 weeks, and crescendo maybe 10. Súper good smell on both, growing nice buds all over the colas. Excellent results so far, a little deficiency showing on the code red but nothing super serious as of yet
Super strong plant with the colas stiff enough so they won't need any extra support.
The smell is perfect, the trichomes are there and plenty. She grew fast and grew strong.
It's not a 10 star strain because the internodal spacing could be better, there is a lot of height wasted in the stem without any bud sites.
But the size, the color, the smell, the stickiness is on point. Super good strain.
Will update dry weight on the smoke report in a couple of weeks
F57 Had to harvest her today because last night I found some powdery mildew around. Truth is I found myself lazy taking care of the dehumidifier and had a few times where the RH went to 75-80%. Still she is big and I think I didn't lose more than 10% of her.
Now it's about letting the Cresendo finish up and taking care of her
F57 she is a slower finisher compared to the Code Red, although much more consistently stacked across the stem, the colas are super heavy and needs some support now for 90% of the plant.
The smell is so good also, both plants smell just like the other phenos grown before them, good consistency in the output.
She is super green y looks super healthy and quite full of trichomes. Just need to keep her couple more weeks to chop
Grew her just fine. Colas were super big, so much that the stems didn't hold the buds enough and needed support, she would make use of some stress in the stems early on to make then stronger.
Apart from that, nice smell, trichomes and the node spacing is really good.
She started to show signs of bortrytis in the end so off she goes.
Found some bortrytis on a few leaves in some big buds , had some periods of high RH and managed to fuck a bit both plants in the end, hopefully nothing of value is lost.
Super big colas full or resin, now she is drying together with the Code Red, will trim the code red and weight in a few days, In a week, will trim the Crescendo to update dry weight.
Hoping to get around 6 Oz from both plants but let's see how it goes.
Next grow will be some solfire gardens also in Autopot . But first will get to flower a couple of mephistos from a friend.
