PDxPM did terribly with only 1 breaking the surface. Both strains lack significant vigor. They were germed in paper towel on 9/4, tap roots showed 9/6 and they were then placed in coco. First seedling didn't appear until 9/10.
By far the longest paper towel to seedling appearance I've ever had. Hoping for at least 3 females.
Did very little to the plants this week. Watered with 1/4 strength twice. Temps are running a bit hotter than I'd like but haven't turned on exhaust fan yet. Looking forward to topping and LST in the coming weeks
Gave them a super heavy watering just 2 days ago and they grew 1 inch overnight. 1/2 strength nutes. Going full strength nutes hereafter.
Tent temps are sitting above 85 will turn on exhaust to combat that
Today they were transplanted to 2.5 gallon (blue) and 2.25 gallon (black) hempy buckets. Coco and perlite. After dragging my feet with the feeding they finally recieved full-strength nutes. Dwarf Star led powered up bringing tent to 345w. This will be the flower set up. LST starts end of the week.
Fingers crossed for girls.
Decided to flip 2 weeks early. Have 3 girls showing very few pistils but white pistils nonetheless. 2 indica dom phenos.
Minor training so far. Left to right: defoliation; topped, defoliation & LST; topped & LST.
WFDxPM 3/5
PDxPM 0/5
Discovered a full blown herm on one of the plants. Left with 2 indica heavy phenos of WFDxPM. They're growing nearly identical with nothing but white pistils and green leaves so far. Buds are beginning to form nicely. Now begins the exciting time.
Super busy week at work and I totally forgot to water the girls for several days. They bounced back 100 so no worries on that front. Buds are developing nicely. No new changes.
Between this site glitching, mandatory overtime at work, and the holiday season I haven't had time to really sit down and update the diary. Snapped shots along the way so I plan to go back and complete weeks 11-13 soon. Just chugging along in flower, nothing much in terms of growth but the girls are filling out nicely. They could be much bigger and better but I haven't been able to water them like I planned. More pics will be added.
Nutes are done and flushing has begun. I usually don't but the reserves are running low and I doubt this will get a month to cure before consumption begins..
Waiting for the trichs to amber up before chopping down
10 full weeks in flower and these girls are still going! Decreased light cycle to 11 on/13 off to help ripen them up a bit more. #1 branches were all laying down and a few side branches on #2 (untopped) fell over too so both girls have stakes. Leaves purpled up fiercely! Both girls have significant fall colors; it's a gorgeous site.
My 1 yr old carbon filter is struggling to contain the smell at this point.
@BeefWellingtons, I grow in hempy buckets. The largest pot I'll ever use is 2.5 gals (unless I want a tree but I don't have the patience for a 24 week veg)
You don't need to feed any nutes until the second set of leaves (true leaves) come out. The seed provides enough nutrients until then. After that is when you can proceed with a very light feed, try 1/3 or 1/4 the recommended use. When plants are that young it's easy to burn or damage them.
