Finally it´s april and time to start a new grow. I´m dirt poor, so I'll be using photoperiodic freebee seeds from Zamnesia. Otherwise, I would have bought autos. 5 out of 6 seeds made it - and considering they are from last year, I´m pretty happy with that. The plan is to keep them inside until May and then move them inside a polytunnel in my backyard.

I repotted the girls successfully on day 15 and they have grown intensely for the last week. - in fact I have to repot to final container in about a week from now. I have 20 litre pots with Coco coir and perlite ready. However, I have not yet sourced a polytunnel which is paramount to hide the plants from curious eyes.

I repotted this week to 30 litre pots filled with Coco, perlite and some granular nutrients for the girls. I also moved them from the T5 setup to a LED setup which is more efficient at this point. I'm leaving for holidays for a week and will be back next Thursday. I'm excited to see how large my plants will be by then.

My plants are not doing so hot. I came back from a week of holiday and the girls spent the week in the basement under a grow light - and it was too cold, too wet and this was just after repotting. The mistreatment is over. They are being moved outside in the greenhouse today - it will be optimal conditions from hereon out.

Finally my greenhouse is up. I have 18m2 of floorspace and about one third is dedicated to the girls. Rest is for tomatoes, cucumbers, salats,. etc. The girls have reacted positively to being moved outside and I have great expectations for the time to come. Right now it's about 15 celcius outside, but 10 degrees hotter in the greenhouse. It's perfect 👍

I tied down the girls... ... that came out wrong. I tied down the plants to shape them for a better fit in the greenhouse. I have also added support for the coming weeks. I'm 7 weeks in with no flowers to show, but I have only myself to blame, because of bad decision making. Luckily it's photoperiod plants, so they are not really on a timer and it's not even summer yet. Overall good growth this week. Side branches are coming out.

I believe the girls will start bloom next week - or at least show a few pistils. The lower side branches have been removed. I want to maximize the area above my squash and salat plants, so the plan is to prioritize the top bud sites and organise them with LST. To be honest the growth haven't been spectacular. I tried a new formula based on Coco coir, perlite and fertilizer pellets, instead of liquid fertilizer which I have previously used. I wanted to keep it simple, but liquid fertilizer is vastly superior. I'll remember this for next grow.

Finally the first pistils - I'm used to auto plants, so my patience is tested with photoperiod models. I'm picking up some guano this week and will slowly add some phosphorus to the medium. Side branches are building up nicely, so LST will commence in the weeks to come.

Heatwave... vegetative growth has gone wild, but flowering hasn't. It's still just pistils here and there - no change. Greenhouses are brilliant at saving water. Outside the drought index is 10/10 right now and there's droplets of water on my leaves inside. I need to start shaping the structure of the plants this week - or they'll grow too close to the roof when the bud stretching sets in.

Its the longest days in the year right now - over 17 hours. It will be a problem if I dont find a solution putting my plants in bloom. I might use a tarp, but the hassle of putting it up and taking it down every day, is not very motivating. There will be light gaps, but im not sure if its a big problem.

Will the some limitation of light in the morning and evening help my PP plants going into their flowering phase? We are currently having days lasting well over 17 hours in my region, so they need some help. I can't afford a blackout tarp, so I was wondering if this could work?

Looks up Bruce Bugbee on youtube about cannabis light sensitivity. unless its blackout it's not doing a thing but setting it back. Good Luck!

Finally I have arranged a outside darkroom for the girls. Hopefully they will flower this week. It's been a hassle, so I'm hoping that my efforts will be rewarded. We will see 🤞

My outdoor greenhouse darkroom has been up for over a week and it's working out. They are getting about 12 hours of light before I cover them up with tarps. I'm thrilled to see white hair on my girls. It's been a lot of hard work getting there. I have added guano to the top soil - about 80 gram for each plant, so the buds may build up. It will be interesting to see if the girls will continue to flower or if they are just reacting to the difference in the light cycle 🤞

The girls are flowering wonderfully. The blackout tarp trick is actually working 👌 I have made an effort making sure that the buds will not touch the greenhouse roof - a homemade scrog is the solution. The budsites will be closer to one another which will increase the risk of budrot, but I have a dehumidifier running in nighttime and a fan in the daytime. I will also be using hydroperoxide if (and probably when) the budrot sets in. Apparently I have 2 different phenos among the apple fritters. One of them is showing purple colors at the flowers. This variation adds to my excitement - growing cannabis is the most rewarding experience ❤️

Things are peachy 😊 I have done some defoilation in the areas that are in shade and have removed low priority buds. The rest of the buds are growing nicely thanks to tender loving care and of course - lots and lots of guano.

I can spot the buds getting bigger by the day now. It feels like a rewarding period opposed to vegetation which feels like a long grind. Molasses have been ordered and will be added to the feeding schedule starting next week. I expect 5-6 weeks before the chop, but in my experience the bud rot changes plan. It´s looking good now though - I'm surprised the leaves haven´t been chewed up by insects yet - last year this was an issue, but the green house was much smaller back then.

Another week has passed and the buds are forming up nicely. I have gradually removed fanleaves and they have turned yellow and have inspected budsites for potential bud rot. Even though I have a big fan running daytime and a dehumidifier running 247, I'm certain that bud rot will eventually hit me. It always does. It has been a weird summer with drought and flooding. The world is coming to an end - no better time to relax with a little bud 🎄

I´ve located bud rot 3-4 places - just minor infections, but I've learned that thing spiral out of control fast. Therefore I have decided to chop early. Rain (high humidity)) is coming, so I´m not really willing to gamble. - it´s all inside now predrying with a fan and a dehumidifier at 60%.
