The_Chef_420 These were a surprise freebie from an order from Seedsman a few years back and they looked pretty old when I received them. 1/5 were crushed so I saved the remaining 4 for an occasion like such! Hopefully she'll be a wise choice for the outdoor conditions here and will finish with adequate time.
Update*- So far 3 out of 4 of this older gear sprouted and the 4th is just starting to form a tail when I dug it up a little bit (not pictured). I'm thinking the germination booster helped some! I have full faith that the 4th will pop soon.

The_Chef_420 The fourth lady finally prevails! For some old seeds these germinated fairly well. The first to sprout is doing quite well and looks healthy. The second and third to pop look like they have some leaf mutations going on, number 4 is too young to tell. A little "seed surgery" was needed to give the last to pop by prying open the seed casing with my thumbs VERY carefully.

The_Chef_420 These are some unique seeds to say the least for now. Hopefully the three mutants aren't hermie right off the bat. It'll be interesting to see if the leaf mutations develop further or if they will produce normal leaves after the next set. The oldest, #1, smells dank though! Just taking things easy on nutrients for now. They're getting transplanted and going outside hopefully today, mother nature is on my side for now.

The_Chef_420 Transplanting went very well, roots were healthy therefore they came out of the cups all in one piece. They probably could've been transplanted a few days to maybe a week earlier. Pro-Mix Mycoactive All-Purpose Mix was the primary substrate that was amended using blood meal, bone meal, locally produced bll, Down to Earth Organic Fish Meal and some perlite. I like to line the bottom of each 3 gallon grow bag with enough perlite to completely cover the bottom to minimize moisture, preventing root rot. Once transplanted all 4 girls were moved outside into the greenhouse. Five warerproof cob led lights were implemented to increase day length. They come on two hours before sunset and stay on until 2 hours past sunset. Sometimes they also get used on really cloudy days. Summer-like temperatures (90°F+) are forested so the greenhouse will be dismantled in the very near future.

The_Chef_420 The first week outside went great, they all adjusted nicely without any signs of stress. Been super busy so all I've done is a little defoliation of the lowest set of fan leaves and inner feeder leaves on the lower branches. The 3 seem to be growing out of their mutations with all normal new growth. It'd be cool to work these but they don't seem to be a stable trait. Warm temperatures are forecasted to be 90°F+ so the greenhouse will be coming down sooner than later!

The_Chef_420 So far growth has been going smooth and steadily without major issues. They seem to tolerate the drastic temperature swing from day to night, +/-35°F.

The_Chef_420 No more artificial light, time for the greenhouse to come down! Hopefully the weather is cooperative this year haha. The double leaf mutation is interesting, I hope to see more of it as it doesn't seem to hinder growth or negatively affect the plant in any way.
