Day 0:
Had room in the 3x3 so added this one CDLC to the group of three Double Grape. Started germination directly into the soil in a 3 gal pot. 75% ProMix HP and 25% Gaia Green Worm Castings. Added 1.5 tbsp per gal of Gaia Green 4-4-4 All Purpose and 2-8-4 Power Bloom. Watered slightly with 6.4 ph water. Covered with plastic cup and placed 22 inches below 240W LED light. Tent conditions in the picture of the controller.
Day 2:
Sprayed some 6.2 pH water on the outside of the plastic cup and also the surrounding soil to keep everything moist. No sign of life yet but it's still early!
Day 3:
Light spray on the soil directly over the seed today. Still no sign from this one yet. Tent is sitting at 75% humidity, 24 degrees Celsius and a.75-0.80 VPD
Day 8:
I don't think she's doing so well. Decided to plant another seed beside her yesterday. Let's see which one sprouts.
Day 11:
Looks like one of the seeds is trying to push through the soil. Most likely the second seed. Starting to think the HP soil mix with the Gaia nutrients might have been too hot of a medium.
Day 14:
We have life!!! After 2 weeks of second guessing the medium/nutrients ratio mix finally we have some green showing under the plastic dome.
Day 1:
I think this sprout is far enough along to call Day 1 of vegetation is officially starting. First "decent" watering done last night. Light is still 30% intensity siting about 24" above. I have other plants in the tent further along so the humidity is 65%, hence the dome over the seedling for now to help up that number for it.
Day 15:
She’s going strong. I’m out of town for a couple weeks so have someone watching the plants. Watering every 2-3 days. Lights are pretty high but due to other taller plants. With the intensity up it gives this girl the right amount of PPFD. VPD is still set for veg levels but might have to raise it for the others in the tent.
Day 29:
Adjusted the tie-downs on the main stem and pulled a couple shoots out to the sides. She seems to want to grow into a thick bush! Gave her some compost tea yesterday but she ain't due for a top dressing for another week. Humidity sitting around 65% with VPD around 1.2 kpa. Not ideal for veg but for the moment she is stuck in a 3x3 with two flowering Double Grape Autos and i need to be bringing that humidity down gradually. Hopefully be below 60 in a couple weeks when this girl is in flower. Light is at 50% intensity, sitting at 30 inches above canopy. Again, this is due to sharing the tent with a couple big girls.
Day 31:
With all the LST the past couple days she ended up with 2 fan leaves touching the soil, so I removed them. She's becoming quite the bush. She's into pre-flower now and I expect start of flower at the start of the next week. Hopefully she stretches up another half foot at least.
Day 34:
Amended the top soil with some Gaia Green products with some water.
Day 36:
All is well with this CDLC. Fed her some 4-4-4 and 2-8-4 with castings a couple days ago. Just waiting for the early flower stretch. Got some compost tea ready to go for her next watering.
Day 43:
Some defoliation this morning with some leaf tucking. Looking good though. The flowering stretch has begun and going well.
Day 48:
Top dressed with some castings and Power Bloom. Going into the next week strong again.
Day 49:
Start of the week and she is looking nice. Amendments added yesterday with her watering. She's got some massive bud sites forming. Standing at 16" tall right now, not sure how much more stretch she has in the tank. We'll see I guess!
Day 54:
Noticed some leaf curling and some brown spots appearing on leaves throughout the plant early yesterday morning. After some research I think it's a calcium deficiency caused by a lack of calcium feed and/or pH being too low for Calcium intake by the roots. Today she was due for a watering so I gave her 3L of water, pH to 6.6, with some CalMag added. Hopefully see some improvement to plant health in 3-5 days.
Day 56:
Still battling the calcium deficiency. Upping the pH to 6.5 - 6.8 and going to give another CalMag feed later this week. Will probably affect the yield and quality but hopefully not too bad.
Ok so I’m a week late posting an update lol. I’ve been really busy lately. Almost the end of week 10 now.
Plant is still doing fine. Probably will be chipping in 7-10 days from now.
