Its finally time for THE POT PATCH 2023! I have been put behind schedule this year, yet again lol. Now lets see if I can get 6 weeks of growth in 3. I hope all the work I have been doing on natural plant growth regulators pays off, only time will tell. But I have so much planned for this season. IF everything goes right I will be pollinating one of these fine females with an authentic male God Bud from Jordan of the Islands and we should get some God's Hemi and we will see where that takes us.
Inoculated the soil with a microbe tea to kick start the biological processes. I find this the best way to get things going while minimizing any possible root burn from the initial kick off of bio activity.
As you can see here they have gone a much darker green thanks to the amendments starting to get broken down by the microbes. I will be doing some LST and FIM this week to ensure a bushy plant ready for the outdoor by the end of the month.
Well tied the girls down some more and did some FIM here and there. Expecting growth to explode once the plants have finished making new roots, and the microbes get their wheels rolling on all the amendments. Then out the door they go into the pot patch.
As I said in my video, triple check your measurements. I almost killed my girls for outside with some 3in1 canola oil for spider mite IPM. No matter how many years you have been gardening you can STILL make a mistake. Oh well one thing I have learned is to laugh these things off. Otherwise it will get you very pissed off and that is not the right energy to convey to your plants.
expanded the pot patch to include some companion planting and cover crop this year. Added 2 yards of grow max composted soil mix from the local garden centre. now 18" deep and I will be adding some leaf mould, myco and a super microbe tea to kickstart things. ************UPDATE************* due to the shit weather in Canada this year I have decided to NOT plant an outdoor crop this year, due to late season start and big el nino which means lower than norm temps and lots of rain for us which = issues growing.
