Hazzy_treez The plants were suffering from root rot and the roots needed to be removed. The system was cleaned with a solution of hydrogen peroxide and water. The roots were cut off with sterilized scissors, the plant was soaked in ryhzotonic, and then replanted into the hydroponic system

Hazzy_treez The roots were cut off completely from both plants and caused sever stunting in their growth. Both plants have been repotted and kept in a comfortable environment to allow for the roots to grow back. So far new growth is returning to the plants and they are slowly growing back their roots. We will not proceed to consider any flowering until the plant is growing a rate of at least 1 in per day
Just something I wish I was told about DWC. 😎
With Hydroponics its important to spread your PH between your targets, because not all nutrients are available to the plant with a single PH level. A Healthy bounce between 5.5 and 6.5 works well for me, I tent to target 5.6 then 6.3 every other time.
The Ph of water increases overtime as the Carbonic Acid leaves through Aeration (your air-pump or general movement) raising the PH as it goes so its not a bad idea to shake your water to aerate it so the PH will remain stable for longer. If you don't do this I suggest ph'ing twice when you do a reservoir swap with an hour or so in between.
( Carbonic Acid = Dissolved Carbon Dioxide + Water.)
Best of luck on the first RDWC! Ill be following along for sure
@HighTV,im not an expert but i wanna see 5.6 to 5.7...............with scale from 5.2 to 6.2...................i ph water once ..........................and then i dont even check it for 48 hours...................after 48 i just make a new batch of water and change it........................i also pour water in clean tubs every 48 hours.......................because sludge in the tub is a MOTHER and FATHER and BROTHER of FAILURE TO ME...................................................................................................................................AND I WOULD NOT EVER ...........................give em 1.73 ec.....................................................like this guy did...................and chillers change and f..k up ph.................there is a lot of copper parts in them.................and i keep my temp around 20 Celsius.....................but i dont sweat it .................AROUND 20...............SOME TIMES EVEN around 22..................................lack of air and too many nuts is usual reason for failure.................................plants adjust ph for themselves...........................so as long initial set up is good ..................nothing can go wrong..................to me 99.9 per cent of failure is SELF INFLICTED........................😈
@Hazzy_treez, very true! I was keeping my last grow at exactly 5.8 PH for to long and even tho that's the perfect PH for hydro the plants needed a change in PH to insure all kinds of nutrients got through.
@HighTV,thank you for the incredible information. I was noticing this similar effect with my grow and the ph was fluctuating a lot when I noticed root rot was occurring. It’s incredible how much oh effects the way the plants will react to different desseases and pests
Sending your ladies some positive vibes . I can see in the last picture that she needs some ! I hope thats just the light tho and not the leaves being coloured like that . Either way it looks on point except for the one picture im unsure about!
-Happy Growing!
Might want to get some hydroguard for your basin to battle whatever was causing your root rot. Also, I would try to get to our ph down to the happy 5.8. Good luck with your recovery!
Haha nice pic 🤣 but dont give up bud ! I dont know what can i tell about it ! I see all information you got ! Do you have tds tester and ph tester ? I never see plant like that in dwc after week 6 ! Good luck with the grow
