I would start simple and try a autoflower in a 5 gallon pot, with Gaia green 4-4-4 and 2-8-4( bloom), once you add 15 tablespoons of each to the soil and you can also add worm castings and living soil, this method is by far the most user and first timer friendly method to use. The Gaia green 1 pound pails will run ya 25$ a piece and the living soil and worm castings will be roughly the same or a bit more expensive for the worm castings. Crack your seed, and then plant directly to the final destination pot (5 gallon) and set your temp and humidity at 27c and 70% RH and let them thrive. Good luck, sorry you lost the last 2.
