Germinated in a paper towel and transferred into a 1 gallon pot. Feeding with just tap water for the first week.
This is the last of the seeds I received a while ago from RQS. This will be the 4th Wedding Gelato I'll have grown from seed, which should give you a good idea of what I think of the strain.
Will be keeping in a small tent with some cuttings before transplant.
Progressed as expected in the last 7 days. Will be using the Vitalink nutrient range on this grow as their prices are so much lower compared to other nutrient ranges available in the UK and there's a global cost of living crisis thanks to corporate greed, so it will be interesting to see the results when using what they recommend.
BTW - This grow should have an asterisk next to "Wedding Gelato"
I'm almost 100% sure I haven't mixed the seed up with any other, but can't rule it out entirely. I am stoned all of the time so it's a possibility. I guess we'll find out when she flowers.
She toppled over last night and needed some help to stand up straight. The timelapse video doesn't show it (that was another strain the same thing happened to a few days ago) but the pics do. Other than that she's progressing nicely.
Hope you all enjoy my first attempt at a 1 week timelapse. I'll intend to record the whole grow this way so follow along for updates and please let me know any tips/tricks any of you may have for recording / editing.
Happy growing, happy smoking!
Transplanted to a 5 gallon pot half way through the week and heavily watered/fed for the next 2 days, then topped for the first time at the end of the week.
I used to be so careful about topping plants but it doesn't really matter how heavy handed you are.
Now it's about keeping the plants trained and the same height.
2 timelapses this week. Enjoy!
She's a little shorter than the others in the tent so I didn't top her again this week, but is looking healthy with full green leaves. Had to go out of town for a while which is why there was a little standing water in the video. Don't usually do this but was rushing before heading out for a few days.
This plant is now on the left in the timelapse video.
Enjoy!
The plants are growing at a good rate now and drinking a litre each per day. I feed them by hand and each plant gets 2litres every other day.
Didn't do anything else this week other than install the trellis on the last day.
This plant is on the laft in the timelapse video.
I'm on holiday this week and next so apologies for no time lapse. These pics are taken from the video stream.
The girls are looking healthy and doing well. I'll be flipping to flower when I return next week.
This plant is the one on the left of the 4
Got back from 2 weeks holiday and immediately lollipopped and defoliated all 4 plants heavly. Will wait a few days for them to recover from the battering I gave them before flipping to 12/12.
This plant is at the back of the 4 in the timelapse.
Not happy with the way this plant has grown. It needed more training but I was on holiday. If it was on its own I'd veg her out longer, but the other plants in the tent are ready so she's been flipped a week or 2 earlier than I'd have liked.
No time lapse this week as I've been too busy.
Added Buddy halfway through this week. Really impressed with these nutrients so far, there's been no problems or defeciences the entire grow. All plants look happy, healthy and green. This plant is on the left of the timelapses.
Increased Buddy to 1mm p/l. Really impressed with these nutrients so far, there's been no problems or defeciences the entire grow. All plants look happy, healthy and green. This plant is on the left of the timelapses.
All plants look happy, healthy and green. Added some cheap Wilkos Organic Plant Feed because why the hell not? Next 2 weeks will increase PK for peak flower. This plant is on the left of the timelapses.
Reaching peak flower now so added PK into the mix for extra Potassium and Phosphorous over the next 10 days or so. Never had plants soak up this much nutrients without any burn (touch wood) so I'm really impressed with the Vitalink range. Theis plant is at the front right of the tent, and to the left of the screen in the timelapse.
Defoliated for the last time at the beginning of this week.
Won't be a big harvest from this girl, although the buds are fattening up nicely. Will stop adding PK in the next few days before getting ready to flush in the next couple of weeks. This plant is on the left of the timelapse video.
Last day of PK today. Will be scaling back on the A/B next week before flushing the last fortnight. I like to flush for a minimum of 14 days and let the plants age naturally when growing this way in coir.
Last week of nutrients finished, plants will now be flushed for 2 weeks. Small plant which I'm not expecting more than 3oz from but the buds are solid.
Last week of flush. The nugs are dense even though the plant is the smallest in the tent. 7 more days of flush and she's for the chop. Wish I'd have trained this plant better. 😋
