The seeds were germinated in a mini plant greenhouse, almost all of them had germinated in two days. After a week of continued growth, they were repotted to 100% organic coco soil and placed outside in the sunniest spot in the garden. They are on top of a small table so no snails can get to them.
One of the Dark Devil plants did not germinate properly and from day 1 it has brown tips on the leaves.
They are currently being watered by natural precipitation. The temperature is about 21 degrees during the day and about 10 degrees at night.
Now they are two weeks old.
Well well, many questions about me growing some nice plants. I have donenit several years and decide to do this diary. The questions are a kind of remarkable, couse I a just growing some plant. Okay, I got some fertilizers for later, but thats all.
All plants are now about 18 days old, seeds popped open on the first. It took them a day, so really fast. I user Pokon Organic Seed & Seedling Soil in those preformes cups in a mini greenhouse with heaters. Fertilizing temperatures was around 26 degrees.
At the age of 9 days they went outside in 1,5 litre pots with Pokon Organic Coconut Potting Soil. They are doing very fine.
They get no special treatment, they are in a sunny part of the garden. The first direct sunbeams are touching arond 10:00 in the morning an last to 19:00 in the evening. We got light from 5:30 until 21:30.
Water is ordinary rainwater, just a little to keep the soil moist.
I have added some pictures of the second vegetation week. They are 5 to 6 cm high.
I have the Monster Bud Boost Pack and the Monster Bud Mix as fertilizers. The bud Mix is used when the move to bigger pots filled with coconut potting soil.Any advice on when tonuse the fertilizers? Thanks!
You can start adding nutrients from the start but keep the EC (amount) low. Give nutrients in low amounts and build it up in small steps to prevent overfeeding (number 1 problem with homegrowers) do not feed with every watering. The safest and easiest method is to use the watering-feed-watering-feed method where you only provide nutrients on the feeding days. And just water with the right pH (without nutrients) on the watering days. This prevents nutrient and salt buildup inside the soil. Enjoy your grow!
The growth is satisfying for me. The plants develop nicely and they are standing strong. The numbers of leaves are increasing and following the sun. Only the leaves of the Dark Devil have a strange shape and per plant it differs. Also only the dark Devil have already a nice weedy smell.
Next week I transfer the plants to larger pots of 2.5 liters and add the Monsterbud fertilizer.
Growing happily 😀
The weather is great, it is hot in the Netherlands. The plants are doing great! One week ago I cut the top out of three plants, one of all species. Wonder how they develop, they still look healthy.
This is week 7 and of 3 plants the top has been cut two weeks ago. The plants recover nicely and all show two tops now. Another three plants hav been cut a week ago and the first steps to new tops is growing.
Also all plants have been transferred to 2,5 liter pots. the roots have developed nice and started to curl , so moved just in time. All again in coco soil mixed with some monster bud.
The sent of the plants begins to become stronger, and the cut tops had already a good taste.
The weather will remain sunny and warm, so good grow conditions, happy growing!
Since my last post about my plants, growth is processing very well generally.
Weekly I add a little extra nutrition and water them daily depending on the weather. Weather conditions are good, generally sunny, about 23 dC at the day and 16 dC at night. Sometimes the temperatures rises to 30.
Plants act differently, some of the same type grow very good and big, others stay smallish. In my opinion they develop good.
The weather is rainy and chilly the laat week. The olants didn't improve much.
All are good in flowers and heavy tops. Time to cut them down.
Maybe I leave some tiny sprigs with starting tops and see what happens. Soon I show some more harvest, the size of plants differ very much
Nice and compact plant with a few stems extra.
Easy to maintain. Good smellin and nive tops.
I didn't weigh the plants wet and dry, but its a nice amount.
