Having watched many videos online I was confident this would work. It didn’t stop me checking back every so often though.
First one off to a good start.
Growing indoors for the first couple of weeks. Soon will be repotted outside.
Plant stretched in the first week and became leggy. Using a light reflector made from an old bottle and foil, it created a nice dome around the plant which strengthened the stem
Having spent 3 weeks inside from seed to now. I’ve given water little by little. Tried to capture as much day light as possible. Using my home made light reflector to make the most of the light from inside.
Now slowly introduce to outside. Planning to repot into a bigger pot once she is outside full time.
First week outside for her. First night a slug had a go at a leaf. Apart from that, pretty nice transition.
Mid week I made a litre of tomato plant feed and gave her 200ml of the solution.
I have ever so slight orange on a few leaves so I may have overdone it.
I will continue to use just water until the colouring is back to normal.
(Probably being too hasty with it being the first time)
I also read a diary where a grower had great results after topping after week 3 and the pictures looked very good. So I decided to do the same and the top two stalks look to have thickened up as a result.
Seems to have bounced back well from the topping. Two nice looking main stems.
Same again, just water of a morning or evening when the suns not at its strongest.
Had consistent weather for two weeks too.
Looking to defoliate soon maybe as the u desire doesn’t see much sun.
Any hints, tips welcome 👍
