This is my first time posting a diary here....and only my 3rd grow ever so Im pretty new at this! Everything is looking good! I started this diary late I know, but better late than never! This is an organic supersoil mix I am using for this grow. 2 weeks before flipping to flower I made a fermented weed juice that I diluted 1:3 with distilled water and put on these girls. They exploded with growth and vigor after this although it stunk like hell and took about a week to loose that smell in my grow space. 2nd week of flower I did a compost tea with earthworm casting, guano, and molasses....Also top dressed with contents of that tea before I applied the tea. I have 2gal of distilled water (ph 6.5) that I evenly divide amongst each with almost daily now. I also just finished a fermented banana juice that I just added 10ml per gallon of water along with a teaspoon of molasses in the same water at the end of week 3. I can't believe the growth im seeing by week 3, starting week 4 of flower tomorrow.

No problems thus far. Plants looking healthy and buds are really starting to fatten up now. One of the Dirty Kush Breath's is starting to purple up and they have a sweet berry smell. Sugar cane has a similar sweet smell but more of a citrus smell. Only half way thru flower.....can't wait to see how big these buds get!

Week 5 of flower! The trichomes are really intensifying on these two, especially the sugar cane! Although not super pungent like a skunk or diesel, the smell has definitely intensified with the sugar cane being a mild sweet smell that no longer has any citrus tones to me like it once did. Hard for me to pinpoint the exact smell on this one. The Dirty Kush Breath howerver has a stronger scent that is more like a sweet pine / berry to me. There is a slight yellowing on the tips of some leaves but I am ruling it to light stress. And it did not get any worse. I had to go away for a couple of days last week and dialed the light back to prevent my enclosed grow space from getting too hot which it can get if the closet door is not left open mid day even with exaust fans on all the way. When I returned I should have gradually increased them instead of putting it right back to where it was. Non of the lower leaf tips are yellow, only on the top.

White pistils continue flushing out at the beginning of week 6 with the Sugar Cane. One of them is getting more purple than the other but nowhere near as purple as ol' Dirty Kush Breath! Really unbelievable and mesmerizing trichomes on the Sugar Cane! Top shelf looking smoke on both of these strains! 6/2 was the start of week 6 for these. I added a teaspoon of kelp meal and a tablespoon of fermented banana juice per gallon on the 2nd. Being my first completely organic grow in super soil, and only 3rd successful grow ( 2 previous w/ autopots were a failure and resulted in going back to soil) I'm curious about when to or a need to flush. In my research, I've found some saying that flushing isn't really needed if grown organicly in soil or only only a few days before harvest instead of a week or two of flush. Is this correct? These are the best looking buds I've grown to date and would hate to eff up the finish on them. Any advice from organic growers? Its now less than two weeks to week 8, trichomes are still mostly clear on all plants.

If you have only used water up til now or the odd compost tea, just run plain old water from now til harvest. Not many super soils can hold enough nutes to last past the end of flower without being so hot they burn the plant in veg. So unless you have used nothing but compost teas, plain water from now til harvest will be just fine. Id also go a few days longer before harvest as most soil plants can happily take a few WEEKS longer in the soil without any probs, so a few more days will help ripen it and pack on more weight. Every day counts at the end so when you think its ready, wait 2-4 more days THEN harvest, just trust me on this ok. I swear it will help. If it doesnt, DM me and Ill send ya some free stuff. 😀 Thats how sure I am it will help.

I've started the flush and giving nothing but 6.5 ph water to these ladies until they are done. Some lower leaves under the canopy are changing color and falling off....a good sign that they are heading to the finish line. A lot of the branches are getting top heavy. One of the Sugar Cane branches literally fell out towards me this morning when I opened the door! Luckily I caught it in time saving it from breaking and wired it to the net for support. The aroma is definitely getting more pungent these last few days. Sugar cane has a very sweet earthy smell whereas the Dirty Kush Breath has a sweet berry- shellac or varnish type smell that is very intoxicating and pleasing when taking a good whiff! The buds are definitely getting their bulk on now, and lots of the trichomes are getting milky with no amber ones yet in sight. Day time temps have bumped up a little even with the thermostat set at 72. Still not too bad with it not really going over 80⁰F. Other than that, not much more to report.

Its getting close on these ladies ! I've been flushing for over a week now. Most hairs are all orange on all plants. Amber trichomes are coming in and some of the fan leaves that were losing color are now shriveling up and getting crispy. I didn't defoliate much because I really can't get to most areas because of the netting and confined space. I have to leave for work in early July so I'm now thinking of possibly chopping sooner than expected so that I can have enough dry time before going into grove bags to cure while I'm away. The purplest DKB is definitely ready now. The anticipation for being able to smoke these nugs is going to be torture!!!!

Very hardy and trouble free grow. Gave them 48hrs of dark no water before harvest. I decided to topped one after the 5th node early in veg and left the other alone. The topped one definitely bushed out and had more buds, but the one that I didn't top had a huge top Cola and actually weighed more at harvest. After they're dry and off the branch, I'm curious what the weight difference will be. The one I topped turned out to be a very dark purple, while the other had shades of purple and more green. It was this pheno had the best terp profile though....berry-varnish smell that really is amazing to get a good wiff of! 😛 I'm hoping that it keeps that profile through the dry/cure! The deep purple one was definitely the most ripe of the bunch and was ready for harvest. I feel the other DKB and the SC could have gone another week but life commitments dictated harvesting now. Opening my door to the grow space yesterday morning right before harvesting I was hit with the strongest aromas I had smelled of this grow. I'm really shocked when I looked this strain up on growdiaries and I am the first to post a diary on it. I was sitting on these beans for just over a year too. 🤔

Sugar cane was very easy to grow with no issues whatsoever. I'm new to growing so they were easy by my standards. It was everything I had hoped it would be, as far as growing and appearance. I hope it will smoke as good as it looks! The aroma is a very mild, sweet smell, but man the frost on these! the Super sticky icky! 🤪 I would have preferred letting these go another week, but had to chop now because of upcoming circumstances. Didn't see the option to put the dried weight in but out of 3 Sugar cane, I got 9.1oz. Taking a hit of just dried Sugar Cane nug, I was surprised how smooth it was even before cure. Pine/gassy taste. A couple of hits and it was a very uplifting creative high. Then a creeper wave came on shortly after..... almost like that feeling when an edible kicks in and you forgot you ate one! Lol. I couldn't believe I was that high from a couple of hits! Two hit wonder stuff right here! This should last me quite a while!
