PositiveVibes Welcome! This time I have 2 strains planted in 15L fabric pots and some basil in a 7L pot. It's almost winter here, so it's cool and humid. I have my light on 100% and close to the pots to keep them warm enough for germination. The temperature is just over 20C. The pots have rice hulls on the bottom and then some worm castings on top of that. The majority is bio bizz light mix with some more rice hulls mixed in. I also added 2 tbsp of dolomite lime, 1 tbsp of diatomaceous earth and some mycorrhizae to each pot. I moistened the soil and mixed it together, but I left the mychos close to the top. I added some biobizz activera into the water that i used to moisten the soil. I let the seeds soak in cups of water for 1 day before adding them to the soil. There was no taproot visible when I put them in the soil. This time I decided to cram 2 plants into the tent, because I want to have more variety in my personal dispensary. I chose to grow Blue Dream again, because it has been my favorite strain that I've grown so far. It is the first time I am growing the same strain again. Hopefully the results will be similar. Strawberry Gorilla sounds interesting as an evening smoke for me. Can't wait to see what the terps will be like. ... also, there is a slight chance that I mixed up the seeds. I don't think so, but I can't be 100% sure. Update: 3 days later the Strawberry Gorilla broke through the surface. Both pots are quite dry. I added half a liter of water with activera to each pot. Update: Blue Dream poked through the soil on the 4th day. The basil hasn't sprouted

PositiveVibes The first week of growth looks really strong. They are both already growing a second node. I am using a 24hr light schedule for the first time. I chose to do this because it is winter here, and if I leave the lights off, I worry it could get too cold for the plants. I also, have the lights on 100% intensity so that they will increase the temperature enough to keep it above 20C. Because of this I hung the lights much higher than I would with a lower intensity. I have no idea how the 24hr light schedule will affect the basil :) Along with the changes to my lighting, I keep the door to the room where my tent is closed most of the time to keep the heat in. I am also using the room to dry my laundry and this increases the humidity noticeably. The clothes dry faster too, since the room is warmer, a win-win. I watered twice this week. Once I gave them 1L of water (with activera) distributed among the 3 pots and the second time I gave 2L total to the 2 cannabis plants and less than a liter to the basil.

PositiveVibes I have been impressed so far with the growth both plants have shown. The Blue Dream is 7cm tall and the Strawberry Gorilla is 10cm. Neither have stretched much, but they both have 4 nodes of growth and the 5th is visible on the SG. For 2 weeks old, they look very healthy. The SG has some marks on the leaves, but I think this is just from the leaves getting wet while watering. The short height makes me wonder if the light intensity is a bit high. I raised the light to 70cm from the plants. I watered 2 times, 2Liters total for the 3 plants, mixed with activera.
