Overall it was a rough but good week. Battling upper respiratory slowed me down and our nutrients were delayed a few days in shipping. One feeding early in the week had fox fas Grow Big hydroponic added for temp base nutes until they arrived, they'd already had a plain water day. Initial Ph check was normal 5.8-6 but I believe it dropped the half hour it sat before watering and I think the Ph dropped (I blame being sick) but the combination didn't make it easy. High temperature this week (averaged 83 to 84 F) during the day and humidity in the upper 60s most of the week. The new larger dehumidifier arrives this week and that should be dropping very soon. Weather has certainly made things harder on the girls but for the most part all that considered they are doing great. Except maybe Citradellic Sunset; the rust discoloration between leaf veins and crispy tips happened in veg when the Ph was off so I'm thinking the temporary replacement dropped the water Ph too far. I wish I had double checked but she looks good otherwise. They were a little taller so we backed up the light. Citradelic does have some tacoing in areas some I'm leaning towards it's a mix of the Ph being off and environmental stress. Her last two watering were with the proper base nutes and Ph was correct so there shouldn't be any further spread to other leaves I hope. I heald off snipping some leaves blocking ingredients good tops until tomorrow as I don't want to stress her. Overall they are looking good this week though and am keeping a close eye on Citradelllic
So the real point of the Scrog net is simply to get as many nodes on a single branch to become equal to the end node on that branch. You’re well on your way! At some point during the stretch phase of flower you have to let those nodes grow vertical for a bit to get a net of “big colas”. You seem to be on your way my friend. Looks good for one of your 1st scrogs.
Thank you bro for all of the info you've provided it's helped alot. VPD and plant diseases / fungus are the two areas my research had lacked and I'm currently reading up on VPD and LVPD and using an online calculator. I suspected my night time humidity was my biggest problem but man, worse than i thought. Still waiting on the dehumidifier but in the meantime going to be thinning them a bit for sure. When it arrives I'll probably set it to run when lights are off and turn off when they come on until end of flower. Gonna shoot for around 68 degrees at night with around 40% RH at night with around 80-85 degrees during day and 55 to 60% RH like you've got going. There's only natural levels of CO2 in the basement so I don't want to push it too high.
Note: Tried lowering AC, night temp went to 72 but the humidity shot to 81. It's probably been doing most the work definitely thinning a bit today and hoping that big dehumidifier comes soon 🙏
@ShadowGrows, great update. Your space looks great, just thin it out and watch your night time temps. Low temps+high humidity=powdery mildew. It’s like a math problem. If you take away one of those variables you’ll never have a mildew problem. So just keep your night temps above 72 degrees and you’re golden. I love your high temp high humidity. It’s all about that strong VPD!!! 💪💪💪 That’s how I try to run 80-85 degrees and 60-65% humidity til last 10 days of flush and then reduce humidity. Wait til you see the results…the proof is in the pudding
Thanks bro! Definitely came out a bit better than the last. I tried to focus on tucking the taller parts of the branch but I think next time I may need to flip to flower a tad sooner, or 2 less plants for the space maybe. Went from worried I wouldn't fill the net to...oh crap i'm out of net holes 😂 I was mainly worried about Blue Dream even gave her extra net space lol, Sativa dominant so I was hoping to keep her as close to the others as possible. 😁
How am I the 1st to see and comment on this diary?!?! I’m gonna follow for sure. You’ve got 2 strains I’ve been waiting to see with white wedding and citradelic sunset. Good luck
My dude things are really looking good! Do you have a favorite?
P.S. lowering temps at night will automatically trigger higher humidity no matter what you do. If you got your dehumidifier, this is when it will work overtime lol
