Off to a sloppy start with these good old classic seeds. I kinda forgot I was going away for a few days and the giraffe neck vs the dwarf version are the result.
Nevertheless, these aren't autos so I can very likely fix everything by delaying flowering for a bit :)
Very curious to see how easy it will be to grow these in such a small space. 😎
They will be placed in 7l All-Mix soil by BioBizz and will get a full range on BioBizz nutrients after a few weeks of Root Juice. I will however be using BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and CalMag as my main nutrients. The others will be used occasionally and if the plant uptakes all nutrients without issues (nutrient lock paranoia is always there)
First week for these classics. Will be giving them Root Juice for the first 3-4 weeks then use BioGrow, BioBloom, TopMax and CalMag as the regulars.
Will be adding BioHeaven and ActiVera aver so often to see if they actually help.
The soil (BioBizz All Mix) is extremely fluffy, haven't compressed it in any way. The water goes though the soil in seconds. I also added 2 cm of clay pebbles to the bottom. I really want to get a nice and heathy root system on this grow.
Will be topping these big time and will be doing a bunch of LST. No more grows without topping in such a small space :)
Got a humidifier in here but it only lasts 4-5 hours.
Topped one of them but it's still to small to bend in any way, at least for this week. Looks like the nutrients in the All Mix soil might not be enough for this stage. I will be dropping ActiVera and BioHeaven and will start introducing BioGrow, BioBloom and TopMax. CalMag I use pretty almost every single watering other than in flushing as the water is very soft.
Temperature a bit hot this week. The light is working at about 70% right now but I can probably lower it if it gets too hot.
As this is not an auto, and might be quite branchy, I wanted to try and make a nicely organized structure so I can go crazy with topping and try and get a new record output for this space. Let's see how that works out :P
Another week of slow but steady growth for these 2. Just like with the other grow, I moved from 7l plastic pots to 11l fabric pots. The extra size will force me to be more diligent about the height.
This one is not an auto so I will probably do a second round of topping, it depends on how fast and branchy these plants end up being.
Another week of slow growth has gone by, thought I end it with another round of topping on one of the plants. I'm looking to make up for the previous grow where I didn't top at all and it produced so little, hope I don't go overboard with things :D
I was too aggressive with the training (or using the tools poorly) and some branches snapped a little. Looks like they healed though. Some of the plant is properly trained, some other branches are just allover the place with no logic.
Last week of growing and then it's time to switch to blooming.
Switched to flowering. I'm kinda fed up with how buggy this platform is. I hope it gets fixed because I'm fed up having to reupload shit 10 times for it to show.
Week 2 of flowering is over. I don't have enough LST clips for these plants, and I they just keep on growing. A scrog net would make my life a lot easier. One of those "next grow" projects that never seems to happen.
These babies just won't stop growing! After so many years of only growing Indica, I have to say I wasn't fully prepared for this :D The only thing I can do is keep on trying to bend them with LST clips.
After a week of really high humidity outside (and in the box), things are getting better. Also doing some defoliation of all the lower leafs helped quite a bit bring it down.
I can see that despite my intentions of not using too many nutrients, I am using pretty much all of them again. Added some Alg-A-Mic this time.
Another week of extreme humidity, but it's finally under 70% and going down. It has forced me to water less and a little more frequently, which is what I should be doing anyway :D
Removed some more leafs from under the canopy and all the LST clips.
Leafs are looking a nice and dark green. The one on the left is needing something more, but I don't see myself making separate solutions for it unless the difference becomes too drastic.
Uneventful week with crazy humidity levels that are back. Had to up BioGrow as one of the plants was starting to look lime green.
There are some copper looking dots so time to increase my CalMag.
I'm trying so hard not to start making individual nutrient solutions for each plant but at some point it might have to happen if I want to take these to the next level.
And of course some ventilation inside this box :D
Another week of crazy humidity has gone by. I finally admitted defeat and installed some sort of internal ventilation as this kit doesn't come with one. Hasn't done anything to reduce humidity, but hopefully it will help prevent any possible rot.
Same as with the other plants, They seem to have lost some of their smell, really not sure what I'm doing wrong here.
Some dotted spots on one plant seem to suggest the CalMag issues are not over, quite the contrary,
Hopefully another few weeks of upped quantity will fix it.
