This 30 year old Big Bud regular seed is alive now.
I soaked the seed in water, 3% Hydrogen Peroxide for 24 hrs
I scraped the ridges off with my thumbnail carefully
Then put on paper towel sprayed with water containing Myco+ Super Root Innoculant from Element Nutrients.
Within 24 hrs the tap root came out slightly elongated and nice white color
I put in a rapid rooter and in a small nursery bag filled with FFHF soil.
*Update 7/2/2023
This plant has recovered from its grueling start. For 30 yrs old its looking good now.
Fan leaves are normal now and getting bigger. Internodal branching is starting and the nodes are tight so far.
This plant is trying hard to survive. Looks like its starting to grow fan leaves but still really small.

This Big Bud is taking off now. Still has a slight leaf deformity on one finger but is looking great. Hopefully it shows its gender soon.

Transplanted into a 3 gal pot. Happy Frog and 3 cups EWC.
Top dressed with 1/8c of Dr Earth Herb and Vegetable dry ferts.
So this 30 year old Big Bud seed is recovered and gearing up to take off. Going to slap it in a 3 gal pot in a few days.
Moved the lights up 6".I believe the Giixer red light is very strong causing the leaves to overwork themselves.
Plant is showing Calcium deficiency on older leaves. Last 2 watering I used 5ml CalMag per 1 gal water.
Newer growth is ok. She's drinking .6 gal water every 2 to 3 days.
Just removed a few fan leaves that were blocking light to bud sites.
She did pause growing up cause I never topped her. Some of the lower branches caught up and then she started growing the main stem again.
She stretched 6.5 inches the past 7 days.
I am giving her 10 ML of DynaGro Bloom every watering now.
1000 ppm of Fish Hydrolysate buffered with Potassium Bicarbonate to pH up the solution to 6.5 today.
Roughly watering every 3 days and feeding every other watering.
Still older fan leaves are brown spots but recent growth is good.
Flower stretch coming to a halt
Her buds are swelling a little more.
I don't expect fat colas since the seed is 30 yrs old and had issues initially. Plus it's in a 3 gal pot under a 110watt light.
But she's a survivor and is doing her best to impress
Nice plant for being a 30 yr old seed that survived a mutation right after sprouting.
She's a survivor. Flowers are getting bigger and frostier now.
She has a different smell to her. Not gas, pine or Musk. Its pretty unique smell.
LOL got some major Calcium deficiency in midflower now. I gave her 5ml CalMag just 2 days ago. The soil test meter for pH has it at almost 8 but I've been watering 6.2 to 6.8 since the beginning.
I also moved the light up because she's yellowing at the top with brown spots so maybe light is too strong for her.
I always have this issue with Fox Farm soil when I forget to add Dolomite Lime.
I'll just keep hitting her up with CalMag every week.
