Typical paper towel method of germination. Used plain tap water. Seed popped in 48 hours. Put in 3 gal fabric pot with coco. Seed broke the surface 24-36 hours later. Pot moved outside in to a mostly shaded area on my patio but gets reflected light from the window behind it and about 1-2 hours direct light.
2 seeds started in same pot. Will keep the stronger and cull the weaker plant
Plants have started their second set of leaves. Have been growing in direct sun outside. Have kept them damp with 1/4 strength flora trio series by General Hydroponics. I will cull the weakest plant but at the moment they are neck in neck for growth.
Has been nice sunny weather all week so they have had a good start.
Not sure why General Hydroponics flora trio is not in the nutrient list but it has been 1/2 tsp Micro, Grow, and Bloom and 1 tsp cal mag.
Discovered both trips and spider mites on the plant. Hit it with pyrethren last sunday and again this sunday.
It is going into flower so inceticides will be minimal from now on.
Did some LST at week 3 by bending the main stem over. It is a very small fabric pot so was not able to keep it growning sideways for very long.
Week 8. Plant is tall 30 inches. Training the top to grow sideways was a bust. The main stem was too strong. Now I have a mildly bent christmas tree. I am happy that the buds are starting to take off and are stacking. Using a different General Hydro feeding schedule for Coco from GrowWeedEasy.com and it is working great.. The one from Coco for Canabis web site was way too weak and produced a plants that were constantly deficient and weak.
This plant is a beast. I brought her inside to give it a whack of "Hot Shot Pest strip". I have been able to keep the spider mites at bay with neem oil and safer spray but there were still eggs under some of the leafs. Trying to break the breeding cycle.
The buds are such a dark purple that it almost looks black from a distance.
In week 10 of "Grow Weed Easy" nute schedule. The plant is super green. It might be a little too much nitrogen. I am thinking with the cooler nights and reduced nitrogen the leaves might purple up a bit.
We are finally on a reduced FloraMicro 1/2 tsp and FloraGro 1/4 tsp.
She is in the final phase. She is starting to lighten up in the fan leaves. Very pretty light green leaves contrasting the purple buds. I checked the tric's and it appears to be mostly cloudy. No amber showing up yet. I will give it one more week then a flush. It should be ready by then.
Something really odd. It should be finishing up but it started throwing out new white pistols. I've never seen that happen before.
My autoflower is on week 12 and is finishing up but it started throwing out new white pistols this week. Has anyone seen this happen before? Any idea why it's happening? I have been reducing nitrogen and keeping the flowering nutes high. PH 5.8-6.5 in coco
nothing special, this could happen for various reasons including that cannabis is an annual plant that try to reproduce at all cost before dying and could throw new pistils and or bananas late in flowering
