First time growing autoflower and first time growing in proper organic soil.
Plopped the seed in on July 3rd directly into soil in a 5 gal fabric pot. Not my usual method, but I read it's better this way for autos, less stress.
The soil I'm using is Gaia Green living soil ammended with additional all purpose, power bloom and bokashi. I also added perlite to help with drainage. I topped the remaining 20% of the container pro-mix with mycorrhizae just incase the Gaia green portion is too hot for the seedling.
Watered only on the seed. Set tent humidity to 75%
Set light to min. And 18/6
She popped this morning!
All in all soo far soo good.
Had no issues. Watered twice, each time only half a cup of filtered tap water phd to 6.5. To ph my water I use Reallime lime juice lol. Ppm is just under 200.
Some decent growth and no signs of burn or deficiencies. Might lower humidity to 50%.
I'm really enjoying the "just add water" approach. Still dialing in when to water, basically I've been waiting till she gets a little droopy then I water.
Temps got a little high 82F and noticed some canoeing. I increased light distance and turned the a/c on.
No issues, noticed a little bit of yellowing in the tips but nothing major.
She started to flower!!! Unreal did not expect that so early, probably should've just used a 3 gal pot.
The real question is when do I, if at all, amend the soil for flower? I think I'll give it a week or more, after the stretch. That's if she stretches lol
Well she hasnt stretched much at all.
Due to her size I haven't amended the soil yet, once she's full flower I will.
Nothing too crazy, definitely the most relax grow I have ever done.
Had to up the watering amount and topped dressed with some worm castings with some power bloom, about half of the recommended amount. Other than that everything is smooth sailing
Started noticing yellowing leaves, added more dry amendments. Plucked the ones that looked bad. Increased light intensity. She's got a bit of a smell but nothing noticeable unless you're right close. She's putting on a bit more weight. All in all doin good.
Nothing too much going on, found that she's drinking more butalso very intolerant of over watering...a bit of a balancing act.
Pulled off so.e of the yellowing leaves, other than that not much to say. She's getting a bit swollen but still long way to go I think.
Definitely missed some watering days and it shows. Alot of yellowing these days, thinking it's getting close to harves not that there is much lol. Might try water curing since there's soo little. Already have my next batch worked out. Don't think I'll do another auto right away.
She is nearly finished, trichomes aren't quite there yet. Any day now is what I figure.
Increased the light intensity just in the off chance it pushes more trich production.
I have been removing yellowing leaves as it happens. Other than that it's been the smoothest grow I've ever done.
