Finally flipped to veg now plants have hit 1ft tall. Scrog net added and weave started. Plants are nice and wide due to previous LST. No nute deficiencies so far or pests. Will definitely top at a higher node next time to get a little more height in the girls to make training easier. Will now change nutrient mix for flowering.
Scrog net is in its final place and all plants have been defoliated and lollypopped. The stretch has started the ladies are starting to get some height. I feel like my previous defoliation efforts were too light, I wasn't removing enough of the useless growth hoping it would be another top. I've now been more ruthless and got rid of a lot of it. I also realised that my lights were too low during veg stunting the plants. First run so lots to learn I suppose. I will need a feeding system next run, thinking auto pot as its very affordable and removes a lot of the hassle of watering and run off management, which is the least fun ever.
Plants are strange things. All three of the banana sherbet came from the same batch of seeds. As you can see in the pictures the back left plant is stretching nicely through the trellis. The near left plant has grown somewhat but not mutch at all, and almost looks like a different strain. And as for the back right it's just a dwarf 😂it's hardly grown let alone filled the trellis. (ignore bottom right it's an og kush auto) all the plants have been treated exactly the same. No idea how it's happened! Any thoughts are welcome.
Wasn't really getting much benefit with the scrog net and it was getting difficult to manage the room. So it's been removed. Defoliation today, removed fan leaves blocking bud sites and increase air circulation as it was getting pretty humid in there. Sugar leaves with trichromes are starting to show around the bud sites. I suppose it's just a waiting game now.
On day 39 of flower, growers choice recommended 10-11 weeks. Just wondering if the buds are coming along well or if they are a little small? Most plants look more bulkier at this point, Should I expect them to bulk up later on in flower? Or do I have an issue somewhere?
Technically you’re only half way into flowering. You just need to give it the right amount of PK + Mag Sulfur to respond to plants needs at this stage of the growth.
Tapered off the nutrients over the last week, now down to just the bloom supplements for this week then just water to finish. Harvest is getting closer now and I'm so excited to get these babies cut, dried and cured!
Starting to see some fade in the leaves now, it's getting closer to harvest. It's taken the willpower of a monk to resist chopping these ladies down. But I've seen enough videos to know that time rewards all who growth the holy plant 😂
Fade has fully set in now, just keeping an eye on the trichromes for harvest time. Plants are nice and frosty and smells very sweet. Was getting worried about harvest time and drying / curing as I go away for 2 weeks November 6th. Invested in some Grove bags for the cure so this has reduced my anxiety about leaving my harvest for so long during the beginning of cure. Heard good things about them, interested in your opinion drop a comment.
Enjoyed the experience and will definitely be growing again. Pleased with the final result much better than I expected for my first time. Grow went very smoothly no pests or deficiency. Would definitely grow this again. Will update after drying
