All I can say about this strain… is I loved how high I felt when smoking this strain. More than that I will be lying… now that I have opened myself to this community, I am going to me conscious about what I smoke and how I grow… and I think investing in a test kit will be ideal, so I can cpmpare my potency with the breeder’s research.
In future I must take not that lamb’s Breath can thrive in cold conditions, but I am going to witness if the growth will accelerate or just level out with the coming of spring. Week 6 starts with a mild weather but in a couple of days a cold front makes land fall in Jozi and the last brought snow, but my babies survived and look at the love of my life, showing aggression when it comes to growth… I wonder if the transplant and the extreme cold will hinder growth, nature does miracles in front of us on a daily. She’s loving the compost mix, hopefully she will love her new home, if my calculations are right, all I have to do is only add nutrient only when I defoliate. The amount of nutrients in this medium is boardline toxic.
This week, my experiment was successful, I stopped watering my babies for 4 days(mind you I only give my plants 250ml of water daily), to keep the medium from drying out all I was doing was turning the medium, but the real test will be in the height of summer when 30 degrees is a norm, if my babies can survive heat stroke, my aim is to drive the roots as deep as possible, well from my experience height is achieved with root depth. So these 20lt better give me tall lushes plants
I am loving my 4th cycle, though I would of started with it this month! I am glad I went against my initial plan, and it prompted me to erect a greenhouse, I will not say it’s the best looking one… but thus far it’s a classical don’t judge a book.
This wind factor is hurting me, however on the flip side, i did seclude this build and this hidden gem, thus far I am loving how she’s harbouring my plantation, I will be using the stem as surface root, what I mean is at not point during this cycle will I allow the stem t grow vertically, the brunches will became the stems, on each nod there’s two stems, my only enemy is flowering.
I need quantity and quality.
I am back online, and another successful week of agriculture Lamby is taking her time while bulking up the stem, I love her short thick fan leaves, they started coiling up and hindering growth where it mattered, thought of defoliation but I promised myself I would only defoliate in September, what I’ve done with all the ladies if to LST all established out the way to all the sunlight to reach the new growth. The other reacquiring motif, is using the main stem as a single root that will covert brunches into stems. Lamby might be sprout at a snail pace however, I am certain she will produce fire numbing bud.
I take it, my decision to defoliate before departing was the wisest thing to do, My Baby has grown and producing healthy buds. My efforts of LST have giving me 3stems which I would love to see it’s fruition, it got that classic Cheesy aroma that Lamb Breath is known for… my greenhouse has truly put impressed me, I thought I would not have vertical growth due not have a lot of air flow, but she grew, and now it’s flowering for 5 weeks now! I expect to harvest end of SEPTEMBER, cannot wait to taste the rainbow, I have not grown anything this good and pungent, this cycle is truly successful as things head to harvest.
Hands down she has raced to be the first plant that will be harvested, which I do not mind because this cheese scent she has is driving me crazy, my senses are drooling 🤤 and crying, patience is a skill reserved for the brave. Love how the LST has given me about 3 main stems, the crystallisation on this plant is incredible, it looks like I am growing it in an indoor environment. All she’s doing is fattening her buds, I hope she gives about 50grams of dry bud. I need to start formulating a questionnaire, I am going to dedicate 10grams to researching how well I grow bud, that is six strains, 10grams each, that is about 60 joints weighing a gram each. At the end I want to open my own community weed forum.
Home stretch, Lamby is seducing my sense of smell, I am going to harvest on week 26, going to pump nutrients in her her for 5 weeks straight, then the remaining 5! Will be rain water, flush everything that will cause a harsh smoke… plus a month of curing in a jar in darkness. Right now now I want her to bulk up.
A whole week of feeding my babies 250ml per litre on a daily, but honestly I would water daily and skip on the 3rd day, and go 5 days watering then skip, but this past week all was gold, and I could be wrong but my bud is swelling up nicely. This needs me to invest in more 20lt buckets, i am going to start separating organic waste based on what type of nutrient scale, is it safe to say that, since I need three main nutrients [Nitrogen, potassium and phosphorus], however I will still have an all in one mixture as a booster… this would prove beneficial when I go onto my 6th Cycle. Lamby drives my insane with her aroma, all she needs is a gentle nudge and she fills the greenhouse with her cheese like aroma, but it has sweetness to its scent, but I am not a scent expert. I think she’s getting more frost on the bud, interesting observation I noticed when it came to defoliation, Lamby has not full developed new growth alike the others, she seems to be concerned in budding or aroma, the only new sun leaves I see are miniature and at the base of the plant, barely peaking out. I hope this means good f..n news for the end result want that big bud and hard stone, if nature can create bright toxic frogs, why can’t we as growers do the same, smell and look good should be the base but the stone matters.
Where did the time go, cannot believe a month nearly went by without posting… this week marks my half way point, no more nutrients just 2lt of water, I was away last week and my babies did not get any water they just basked in the sunlight and warm evenings. Today I did not get a chance to analyse was caught up with just wanting to catalogue and but I noticed no signs of any problems, just that she’s itching to be harvest but I need to flush for a month, I dosed them with so much nutrients to a point, I was feeding them 250ml of nutrients only, however before leaving I watered my babies with 2lt and then they experienced a week without water nor nutrients. I will analyse from next week. Tutorials here I come
4 more weeks to go and we are harvesting, and it will assure me that I have properly flushed her, want her to be a smooth operator, her smell as cheesy as always, I am just worried I over did it with the nutrients now with water, but she will guide me.
I cannot believe it, 14 days to go then I am going to harvest, I am confident that I would of flushed Lamby quiet thoroughly, for some reason weed needs it’s roots to flushed if you want a super smooth smoke, I wonder if fruit was the same as weed, would we flush the roots to get such tasty and juicy fruit or veggies, or would we bare with that sourness. The real test will be on the 15th of December when it comes to my test smoke, then I shelf Lamby until January after returning from the festive season, by then I would have achieve top tier curing.
Finally
A successful process I can finally harvest… 😭 1 of 6.
When I thought an Auto, turns out got myself a traditional 6 month seed to harvest, she got a whole month of flushing, want that smooth smoke, besides presentation it must the smoke must be subtle on the throat. She just fooled me with her flowering, she has truly took her time maturing.
Next week I am harvesting, and I will definitely post my experience, and how I dry and cure my harvest.
Talk about a mission accomplished, dam you Lamby… you had me excited at one point when I thought you were an auto, but to my shock, you are a regular, you just have a long ass flowering window… at least unlike her sisters within the 4th cycle, she did not reveg she just focused on flower, the buds are bulky and firm, scent is amazing, you would mistake her for a cheese strain. I should not be disappointed by the plant’s size! Because I planted her during winter, and all outdoor or greenhouse(unless you have a GH that is climate controlled), do not grow as big as the would during spring or summer season, and due to this factor, I only got 59g of wet bud. But I have faith the other ladies will produce a higher yields.
Last I smoke this strain was earlier late summer or early Autumn, and from smoking to growing now harvest, I wish I am blown out the water with this strain, it’s time to conduct that questionnaire. Or even better go to an established cannabis club, and get them to samples bud, and ask for a review.
