This is already week five, and I apologize for not posting sooner. These plants are growing in organic living soil, and I use rain water that I inoculate with potassium-solubilizing bacteria that I keep alive in a beet molasses solution. This enhances the availability of potassium for the plants, which is essential for their growth and flowering. and sometimes feed them with organic biobizz fertilizers and compost tea. I have two amazing strains: Chocolat Mint OG, which really has a very interesting aroma, and Florida Gaspack, which is definitely a classic "chem-OG" style new-born strain from Humboldt Seed Organization. I’m very happy with their progress and quality.
It’s week 6 and I have already begun the flushing process to get rid of any excess nutrients and salts in the soil. These ladies are so heavy that they are bending under their own weight. I made a mistake of letting them grow too much in the vegetative stage, so the scrog net was not close enough to the top. This resulted in some uneven canopy and light penetration. The Cookies Gelato is cannibalizing itself, as the lack of nutrients at this stage triggers the buds to swell up. This is a natural process that enhances the flavor and potency of the buds. I’m really impressed with these dense and sticky buds. They are covered with trichomes and have a sweet and fruity aroma. The Florida Gaspack has boosted the smell by around 80%, she is a super stinky strain from HSO. She has a gassy and skunky smell that fills the room. I can’t wait to harvest these beauties and enjoy their effects.
