Hello Everyone! 👋
This is my first diary on GrowDiaries, and I'm hoping to both provide and receive help from the community! Let's grow together! 🙏
⚠️ Please note that I'll be referring to my nutrients in grams/liters instead of ml/l.
🌱 All my nutrients are from growinglifebr.
Firstly, I started by washing my coco with tap water (a lot of it) and then I submerged the coconut for 38 hours in a solution of calcium nitrate with a strength of 5EC. I got this method from a friend on Instagram, @terp.gambler, and also a video on YouTube titled "How to Buffer Coco Coir for Hydroponics" from the channel @Hoocho.
Entry for 19/07/23:
I washed my coco again, this time using the vegetative solution (mentioned in this post) to ensure that my runoff matches the input - 0.7EC (350ppm) and a pH of 5.8. After that, I placed them to rest 💤 inside the grow area with temperatures at 24ºC. Additionally, I soaked all my seeds in a glass of water with a single drop of hydrogen peroxide 56% for 48 hours.
Entry for 21/07/23:
I placed all the seeds directly in a vase (300ml) with coconut peat (very fine particle size) only!!
Entry for 23/07/2023:
🌱 Germination has started 😄
Feel free to let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Happy growing! 🌱
@BudBoutique, Im struggling with Low VPD, runoff showing excess (in 1.6EC out 3EC+) - idk whats happening but let see next days ! Anyway, thank you for your comment 👊👊
Oh looking at this brings back memories of last summer. Most of my crop when like this. When the pigment on your leafs goes the close/higher your light it burns the leaf like that. My whole crop was like that last summer. My heat was crazy between 32-35c so I had to use co2. But, when I was sleeping I'd turn off the co2 completely and the co2 dipped below 350 a few times and the leafs were burnt to s..t like that. I still got some amazing strenght in my bud. Lost a lot yield wise but, overall a massive learning experience.
Good luck with your next
@gottagrowsometime, thanks for your comment. It was really hard to keep temp low here... next time i will be ready !! Indeed this was a amazing experience, even with so many difficulties I got a strong and tasty buds !
