this week is cloudy with plenty of showers.
had to change location to provide overhead cover in order to keep the rain away
humidy is just right for now
soil mix is good and provides good flow during heavy showers. accidently let the rain pour on these ladies for over 20 minutes. soil was able to drain easily but i will have to replenish some organic nutrients soon.
feeding humic and fulvic acids early on
rain water all week
compost delivering steady nutrients
had one day heavy rain but soil drained easily. air pots helped a lot.
located near night lights. low level light noise seems to be OK for now.
heavy rain last night and the ladies were lying flat down, but they bounced back when the sun came to the rescue. pretty sure that stress will make them stronger.
neem oil keeps the pests away
compost is strong especially after heavy rains last week
did not have to manually add water since two weeks ago. good to have rain water
one plant needs more neem oil. seeing some spider mites trying to make their home. will keep spraying neem oil today and tomorrow on this and surrounding plants.
still using neem oil to control pests every other day. looking for spider mites but can not find the source. will probably take it to the next level and isolate plants in a grow tent. will see next week.
heavy rains caused problems this week. need more sunlight to dry out the soil.
phosphorus issues
problem with spider mites under control at least for now.
using neem oil did little to stop the spider mites. sprayed some real pesticides on the bottom of each leaf. found the spider mites home living in a nearby plant and destroyed them. will see what happens next week.
will have more pictures next time.
air pots helped to dry the soil from last week heavy rains. 2 out of 5 plants are slow to dry.
2 plants still need more time to dry and will give them more food later. watered only 1 liter with nutrients to those 2 plants. the three remaining plants received 3 liters with nutrients.
added some Potassium silicate to resist pests and hope to produce more flowers - will continue to add more in low dosage during next few weeks.
no more pests
minor potassium and cal mag deficiency in a couple plants
checked soil pH and looks good between 6 and 7. the plants with deficiencies are a little above 7.0 pH.
raining all week and cloudy days are about to pass. been like this for about 3 weeks.
as soon as the sun comes out, my ladies are happy. hope to get more sun.
some plants are a little behind in production. the lead plant will need about 3 weeks before deciding to flush.
lower humidity with no signs of spider mites is a plus.
getting more sun now and showing good signs of blooming. hope to see more sun this week.
still a little cal mag deficiencies in some plants but overall in good shape
seems like the spider mites situation is under control. have not seen any in the past week.
aroma is nice and neighbors are savoring for a sample. outdoor yield looks better than indoors for sure. will try the greenhouse method in the next outdoor grow.
ladies are super hungry!
had to feed twice this week since the sun is out in full force.
still no signs of spider mites. checking daily with microscope.
neighbors are loving the aroma.
After some rain during the evenings, was worried a little about high humidity at night and mold. Looks like these ladies are able to resist mold. Only if there was less of an issue with pests (spider mites) from previous weeks, I believe that this strain is perfect for outdoor growing in Thailand.
Had to flush once mid week because of too much cal mag. Seeing nute deficiencies even though they are getting fed a lot.
Two out of the five are about to get flushed before harvesting. The remaining three will need more time to catch up.
Temperature is decreasing and I hope this will help to produce higher yields. Will see...
What an nice outdoor grow so far - good job and well done 🤝 never did outdoor myself.
Happy Growing & cant wait for your upcoming weeks 🌱
Cheers, Bud Boutique 👩🌾
@BudBoutique,
thanks!
first time with outdoor and probably last time. more work than expected. from controlling pests to constant moving to adjust for sunlight and rain. monitoring these ladies was a bigger task than indoors.
if i try the outdoor run again, will definitely make sure i use silicate early in veg up until first week of flowering because of the pest problems.
Some lovely weed coming out of your part of the world.
Got myself some whopper purple punch and zkittlez from Thailand. Just as good as the cali ppl are tyring to flog for 100 bucks for an eight
Hope your lower temps grabs you what you're seeking. The others you flushing look very frosty. I'm running the autoflower version.
Enjoy your harvest
