Started on 7/11/2023. Put seeds in a wet paper towel in the grow tent with no lights for 48 hours. Germination rate was 100% for all three seeds. Transferred the seeds into their final grow pot once the tap root was about 4mm on 7/13.
Started 1/4 strength nutrients for week 2 (5 days after germination). Waited until the second set of true leaves appeared. So far looking good, plants are very healthy
Going to full strength nutrients at this point. Starting to LST whenever the top node gets talls enough to be bent over again. These plants are quite healthy.
Seeing Flea Beetle damage :/. Using neem oil and diatomaceous earth to get rid of them
Explosive growth rate this week already. Seeing nodes reach the same height as the top cola! Got rid of all the bug problems, looking forward to seeing how this week will turn out. Starting to see some calyxes appearing on the node bases as well.
Started introducing canna bloom as per their instructions on the canna website. Also using cannazym at 2.5 ml/l
Will go to 4ml/l of canna bloom starting week 6 when flowering has fully started.
Starting to bloom now. Plants have finished their final stretching... (hopefully). Having issues with light stress as I only have about 12 inches left of room on the top of the tent. Should have done more training but I think the tent is too small for anymore lst. Next time I'll only grow 2 plants.
The plants are starting to stop growing vertically. Colas are starting to become more prominent. Watering 1,300ml of water a day with a 3:1 feed cycle (three days on one off). Still having humidity issues, the lung room has high humidity but I am still pulling out about 500ml of water out of the tent per day.
Had to defoliate the bigger plant as it wasn't getting good enough airflow near the bottom of the plant. Still having pretty bad humidity issues. To combat this, I have added an extra fan and am getting a large 50pint dehumidifier on monday. This will be hooked up to the inkbird controller. Buds are starting to fatten up slowly. Been tucking a lot of leaves as well.
Finally got a bigger dehumidifier unit. It's a 40 pint whirlpool that is venting into the tent. Finally getting that humidity under control.. Couldn't come at a better time too, one of my plants is starting to get extremely dense and frosty buds. Looking like three plants was much too much for this 3x3, going to do only one next time. Coming along..
Smell is that of a slight skunk with citrus fruit, fantastic. Very happy with the genetics, thanks RQS
A couple more weeks left! Saw fist amber trichomes on the fan leaves of the back left plant. So far so good. Took the plants out on monday for a trim up on the bottom leaves. They were quite underwatered (was doing 1.3l daily) so now I am doing 2l a day. Really dense buds and stinky, smells of citrus and skunk, lovely!
Coming into the end of their lives, the 6th week of bloom has begun! With fruity citrus smells with a hint of skunky funk, these plants are bulking up immensely. Getting the humidity down this week to increase the VPD to stress these ladies out before harvesting. Trichomes are looking about 70% cloudy with about 30-40% of them turning amber on the sugar leaves... Almost there...
Last week before chop day! The grow has gone exceedingly well and I am happy with the results. These ladies are starting to not drink as much water and are as fat as they can be before the deed is done. Thanks RQS for the freebies for me to try out my first indoor grow! Been a lot of fun.
Really fun! I would like to say that I think this was a great first indoor grow! Learned a lot about humidity control and nutrients when growing in coco.
