This seed germinated after only one day of being in the paper towel. We will leave it in for another 2 days however, as we have other seeds germinating at the same time which have not sprouted yet.
We transplanted her from her 500mL pot to a bigger 14L pot, and covered with a layer of wire, in order to protect from pests, as another of our plants was eaten by a wallaby and we would like to prevent that.
We also noticed a small white spot on one of her leaves. Don’t know what it is, could be downey mildew. We will see if it spreads and if so we’ll just cut it out.
This week the leaves grew bigger and the stem grew thicker. We also cut off half a leaf which had developed some sort of infection. Maybe mildew but we’re not sure.
This week the plant almost doubled in size, but when we went to check up on it on Saturday, it had disappeared. It had gotten eaten by something, but we are not sure what because it had a big bit of wire over it. We think it was a rat or something that can fit through the gaps in the wire. Very unfortunate
@Herbies_Seeds, Thank you so much, These are your seeds after all. Everything we ordered has germinated so far except for the 3 Watermelon Zkittles which is a bit concerning, however we will give them some more time. This is our first time growing so we are quite excited.
