Setup:
-Soil: reclaimed from previous grow cycle. Build-a-Soil Craft Blend was added to soil reclaim, some of the soil was getting hydrophobic so i had to rehydrate. The Golden Barrel blackstrap molasses and Build-a-Soil Build -a-Bloom was added to the water used for rehydrating soil.
-Pot Size: 3.5 gal pot but only has 3 gal of soil, will be adding more soil later if needed.
8/8/23 started germination today in shot glass
8/10/23 has tap root popping out and looks healthy. Put into soil and now wait for it to sprout
8/14/23 has sprouted and looks healthy
8/20/23 gave about 20 oz of water today, still looking good but has not made much growth progress. Lowered the light to try boosting growth, light was still at the height that was used for the last plant.
8/26/23 still has not started boosting yet, hope to see this thing do really well. May start feeding next week, might just wait til it starts flowering to start feeding. So there is a marigold that sprouted, hope it doesn't try to take over the pot.
9/9/23 this plant is now in pre-flower, pre-flower nodes and the leaves around them are turning a deep purple. Looks like it's loving life, was hoping to get another week or so of veg before it started flowering. @seedsman
9/16/23 turning deep purple at bud nodes and around them. Forgot nutrients this week, will start build-a-bloom next week sometime. This one is in the top 3 on my list of best auto-flower plants that I have seen so far. Will be looking into this one for future grow cycles, thanks @Seedsman
9/23/23 had to neem/castelle spray this week bus the cat brought in spider mites. Gave some nutrients and a full watering this week. Buds getting fat, still dark purple, light sent forming.
9/30/23 had to change lights because I was using two that were not mine, had to give them back. Buds keep on stacking, smells fruity and sweet. More nutrients this week, may be the last time I give nutrients.
10/14/23 removed some shade leaves that had some white spots forming, should be fine. Scent is getting stronger, buds are still dark purple and smell like fruity gum.
10/21/23 buds are so dark purple that they almost look black, started foxtailing and got s little fluffy but are covered with purple trichomes and smells like grape bubblegum.
This plant didnt get as big as I had hoped but it was in a 3.5 gal pot. Buds are a decent density and are so dark purple that they look black. Trichomes turning purple and smells like grape bubblegum. Will be doing this again in the future.
10/22/23 Harvested, selective trim and hung for drying.
10/26/23 finished hang dry, trimmed and jarred. Will cure for two weeks, will take smoke sample within two days so I can finish diary before the @seedsman auto contest is ends.
