First SIP and outdoor grow. Screwed up first part of grow with incorrect ph and too high enzymes added . But I'm happy with PP's height now. Aunt Ginny's elixir's main stem was snapped when a thunderstorm blew a deck chair across it. Duc tape to the rescue, grow fine after repair.
Day 70 for this out door grow. It's been raining and cloudy ( smokey ). Both plants are getting close. I'm watching tricombs closely and I will harvest both soon. Aunnt Ginny is shorter than it should be but buds are full. Pink Panama is more open and buds are smaller. Low odor grow if there's a slight breeze. Always windy on the prairies.
I harvested both plants day 73 from sprout. Deck faces east which hampered sun and warmth.
Pink Panama had great looks and smells. Coffee and plum were smelt at times. Flowers did not build so harvest was under 30 grams. Harvest heightwas 27 " . Nice open growth, no mold. Decarbed and put in a peanut butter cracker produced a nice up high with a relaxing finish.
Aunt Ginny's Elixir was sticky and did better with less light. Harvest was under 30 grams and Harvest height was 18" ( deck chair accident stopped vertical growth). Decarbed and tested
Nice high with a very relaxing finish. Seems to help with pain. Next morning feels relaxing. I am curing the buds . So far I like both and will redo them.
I liked using the S.I.P. container for outdoor/ deck grows. The water reservoir reduces watering frequency. I think you can reduce water levels as the grow progresses to encourage flowering as well. I stopped watering from the top only bottom watering , then lowered reservoir level near harvest. No organic fertilizer and hygrozyme kept root root at bay.
Love both strains.
First outdoor grow so lots for me to learn. Next year I will start the seeds earlier with proper PH. Bud weight was low but frost was very obvious ( extremely sticky to handle). SIP buckets are promising. I can't change the exposure of my deck so I'm just happy to harvest. Edible makes me feel good at night and relaxed that night and morning.
**** Just adding I grew Pink Panama at the same time outdoors and I love it. Nice upbeat buzz followed by a great sleep " Perfect!".
