They're thriving. A few leaves overall with burnt tips. Lowered N fertiliser to 4 ml/l. I still don't own a pH/EC meter so every change I make is a combination of experience and intuition. Yes, I know I should have a pH/EC meter, but I don't. ;-D Introduced Orius Majusculus predator bugs against the thrips infestation on day 25. Picked up too late, not sure if enough survived to still be effective. On the other hands, it seems to be under control. I see less thrips and leaf damage than the past 2 weeks. Switched to flowering fertilizer on day 25 as well. Maintained 14/10 light cycle.

This phenotype doesn't show any purplish colours which I've seen in many diaries on DSD33. Any thoughts on how this green phenotype compares to the purple one?

I would say it is simply the slight differences between the ph values of the grows.

Anthocyanins are what brings out the purple...you can try dropping your temps to help get that color you desire 😉...also in my experience its mostly just bag appeal. Hope this helps.

I know that colour doesn't affect potency but it can be a characteristic of a specific phenotype, the physical expression of the plant's genotype. I would like to know if anybody has seen clearly distinguishable phenotypes of DSD33 from different mothers, purple or not.

I agree with the below answers, its also good to note colour chnages with temps Some strains get real purple all on their own and some can get purple from colder temps. Its the autumn effect. Something happens to the chlorophyll in the leaves and they amber or purple up. Good Luck!

Every seed is unique, with its own genetics........it is a lottery as to phenotype. Only clones are uniform.

There’s always gonna be distinguishable phenotypes growing from seed.. just the nature of cannabis right now. Some companies are getting closer to honing in on homogenous expressions. But you’ll see it even more so when you’re dealing with a dozen different companies making ( the “same” dosido 33) seeds from likely different parents as well.. And yes I have actually seen different expressions of that just click the link there to the strain you’ll see for yourself

@Shijo_Kingo, It would be awesome to make a 9-plant-SOG project -- (10x10feet grow area?; 1800W-LED)~88,9g/plant, then merge the queens together into the middle 1m² area for a photoshoot pre-harvest to visualize how insanely much 800g/m² actually is. This conversation made me want to scrap my Papaver project, and start another Dos Si Dos grow. I've had a great time talking to you. Happy growing! 👊😊--🍀 I'll drop by from time to time to see how your grow develops🌲🏆

@Mrs_Larimar, thanks but I would like to see some first hand experiences here. I would like to hear about differences in aroma, yield, size and potency between a purple and a green phenotype from first hand experience. I don't care about the colour itself. The plants you see in this diary are all clones from the same mother and I only have one mother....
