only compare to other soil grows using typical soil nutrients and amendments.
soilless/hydro is faster. bottom line.
genetics play a role, too.
how much light you give can make a plant stockier -- the more intense light given the shorter the internode is (distance between 2 growth nodes). you don't want it too stretchy or too short, either. you look fine here, but you can look at it from better angles to see the internodes. i'm judging based on where the fanleaves seem to pop out from stems.
When you start training and spreading out growth you need to consider all new growth, not just 1 dominant limb taking all the resources. it's not spread out, so the growth is spread out too.
