How's it going growmies?
This is my first time posting on here and my second grow overall. Needless to say I am invested now and I look forward to this experience.
I will be growing Tangerine Auto from Seed Supreme. I have never used seeds from this company before and this will be my first auto grow so hopefully it goes well. I started germinating in a cup of water for 24 hours and moved to wet paper towel for another 24 hours before the tap root appeared. This one took a little longer than my last grow and it grew a little weird at first but has straighten out with no issues.
I will be using the General Hydroponics Flora Trio with Botanicare Cal-Mag. Not sure of any top dressing or anything else being added as of yet, but right now just a spritz of pH'd water when dry for the next two weeks.
Soil medium consist of 60% FF Coco Loco, 25% FF Ocean Forest, and 15% Perlite. Mixed together and "cooked" soil for about 24 hours prior to germination. I have not used this mix of soil/coco before I just saw it in a Youtube video and thought I would give it a try. Plus I was on a tight budget and I had to use what I had on hand.
Set up; cheap IPOW tent kit off of Amazon.
- 24x24x48 tent size.
- IPOW 100W grow light.
- Vivosun fabric pot
- 4in IPOW Inline with Carbon Filter.
Day 4: No signs of sprout yet.
Day 5: Sprout finally broke through the soil but for some reason came out kind of weird. I probably put in the tap wrong or it was just a wonky seed.
Day 6: Sprout has straighten out and the four small leaves are showing. Looks a bit stretchy and I need to measure my PPFD but my Photone app is acting weird. I just turned up the intensity by a little and see how that goes. Took off humidity dome and turned on humidifier to bring up RH to 80% and the temp is about 73 F.

First week has passed and Tangerine has been growing well. The only thing that was an issue was the stretching. For some reason "Photone" is still giving me issues so I played with the height and intensity of my grow light until I got the desired results. I moved it a bit closer to the sprout and lowered intensity to about 25% (roughly 12 inches above plant) and she has focused her growing in her leaves now. Second set of leaves are showing so by week three I should be good to start giving nutrients. So far all she has gotten is pH balanced water when soil is dry. Water pH around 6.0-6.2 added about 1/2 liter to plant about one inch radius around plant.
I would have to say this grow is a bit slower than my last grow but hopefully she can get enough veg going before she flowers.

It's the end of the second week and she's doing well. The only arguments I would have right now is the leggy stem. I had some lighting issues (Photone is not the best) but with the adjustments made It hasn't gotten worse, which is good. Measured about 10 in above plant at 30% intensity. I will probably raise it to at least 12 in above within the next week ensure no burning of the leaves.
I was a bit on the fence about giving nutrients so soon but decided I will start a half dose of what I have on my feeding schedule per feed upcoming week.
First week of nutrients mixed per quart of water. Right now she is only taking a quart of water every other day with run off.

Nutrients are mixed per quart of water. Going off of runoff, I have increased the feeding to about 2 quarts of feed water gradually.

Micro: 2 mL
Grow: 0.50 mL
Bloom: 1 mL
pH'd to 6.3.

Nutrients are mixed per quart of water. Going off of runoff, I have increased the feeding to about 2 quarts of feed water. I have been lazy about checking the PPM of the run off but I have not had any issues with deficiencies thankfully.
