first week of flowering, started on sept. 21th. irrigation being tuned weekly due to climate and drinking variations.
ipm foliar sprayed on monday 18th with ohn, organic fruit vinager, pumpkin ffj, neem oil, Solem "sun's fert", and neutral soap.
on thursday 21th and saturday 23th ipm foliar sprayed with EM5, liquid quillaia extract, Solem "sun's fert" and epson salt.
lot of heat during week 2, plants start to visibly stretch and show white pistils besides green and vigorous branches bulking up.
applied ipm twice this week (nutes nutes mentioned)
watering time reduced from 3'50" to 3'20" and then 2'50" due to leaking much water at every watering (at each 12h).
ps.: numbers reported are always measured from pot #3.
LaFanta seemed stucked comparison to early skunk plants, that evolved well this week.
Some leaves presenting very light spots, looking as they recieving foliar feed/ipm however last foliar application was on Sept. 30th.
Early skunk 2 and 4 stretched a lot this week while early skunk 3 didn't as much.
ES 3 development seems to be faster then 2's and 4's however is not gaining as much height and shoot structure as 2&4's.
Noticed little burning on ES4 leaves closer to ventilator.
La fanta CBD evolved a little this week, noticed by pistils finally developing on a fast rate.
17/10 Fed them with liquid quillaia extract, biosymphony (psb) and little lmx to the water reservoir. Last one in order to slow down algae dev on reservoir.
Early skunk 2 and 4 still stretching a little this week. One top bud on early skunk 3 and 4 (really close to each other) show premature ripening, perhaps due to uv led being too close (pic. #4 and #5). Their smell are getting stronger every week but not as pungent as it could be. There is yet some path to go till the end, at least 2 more weeks.
Lowered water flux in 1/5 this week to nearly 350ml 2x/day expecting to stop bottom pot leaking and to take 2 more weeks till harvest. Usually takes 7 weeks to full ripe but I'll let 8 this cycle to see how it goes.
Early skunk pistiles start turning orange/brown and buds gaining volume. Also showing lots of resin on all buds and top leaves.
Leaves start changing colors (due to ripening I guess).
I'm not monitoring tricomes yet..
La Fanta CBD pistils still white and bud development not as fast as early skunk. Early skunk 2 overgrew its spaisland is covering some La Fanta's light.
La fanta might take 2 more weeks to full ripe then early skunk
Beginning of week 7 plants faced a severe heat and dryness wave reaching 26°C and 35%hr however irrigation time (and volume) were fast adjusted and the problem was solved. Plants didn't got affected by that as seen.
One of 3 early skunks presenting yellowing on leaves and will be chopped soon. Other 2 might wait some more days.
Super hot and dry, temperature went over 28°C in some moments so I turn 2 of 4 lights off for a couple of days. Humidity reached 40% with humidifier set on 65 blowing around 6L/day.
Flowers still developed though.. the smell went for a trip in the sun and might never come back as it was..
I might cut them until Sunday...
Only one (of 3 on total) are harvested and other 2 will be documented as being cited as well.
Tricomes are white on average. Little are translucid while none ambar. Decided to cut this off due to many yellowing leaves and a bigger heat wave reaching region on next 10 days!!!
This plant had smaller buds compared to other 2 early skunks however much more top bud sites.
When flipped to flower this plant was the biggest in number of shoots and canopy area among early skunks and their buds ain't the bigger ones by far. Expected, but I'm curious about the total weight compared to its sisters. This might be updated at the end of the whole cycle.
Nov. 14th update: heatwave came Strong... plant is totally dry and crispy after 3 fucking days...
The first smoke (2 days ago) the buds were little wet however super tasty and burning well on paper.
The taste was super earthy and fresh. Like putting a handful of worm castings in your mouth and then inhaling purest air from some cool forest.
Unfortunately this taste is partially gone due to super heat and dryness weather of last days. Fuck el niño.
Nov.23th update:
Early skunk got a little of its taste back. I also cutted other 2 on Sunday Nov.19th, such as La Fanta, that are on drying process now.
Dec.6th update: last 2 early skunk harvested passed through a 15 days drying process, were trimmed and are now curing on a glass jar with 58%rh bovedas.
One of them weighted 61g of dried flowers and the other 40g after trimming.
Eh... wasn't satisfying at all... the orange smell is powerful, however the size and density of buds are lame.
This was one only pot that the roots weren't able to drink the daily dosage of water, so I took one of 2 drippers in middle of week 6.
