Another week has gone by and my plant seems to thrive, atleast for now haha.
Since it was very bushy I read up on defoliation and decided that now would be a good time to do it if I was going to do it.
Realizing that less is more, with it being an auto, I still went somewhat hard on the lower section. I also removed fanleaves that was blocking light to budsites in the upper canopy.
Never at any point did it seem like I went too hard because the day after defoliation it was looking very healthy, with it's leaves pointing upwards in the morning so I think I did good.
Redoing some LST as needed, now only doing it when a branch is blocking budsites, just trying to keep the canopy somewhat even and spread out without overdoing it.
I've also decided that for my next grow I will be trying to fill the tent with photoperiods, so I went ahead and planted 2 more beans in the beginning of last week, witch has since sprouted.
Wanted to use up what I had so I can plant the next batch at the same time.
Another Northern Light and a freebie from RQS, a Royal Crematic. I've also realized that I'll get higher quality buds with some better ligths so I've ordered a Spiderfarmer SF2000 that's coming this week, so I'll have 320w total to work with in the tent going forward.
Man, it's great watching them grow. Truly a satisfying hobby, I seriously cannot wait to be able to smoke my own homegrown bud =)
I think you did a great job with your NL. I need to have more courage with LST. You produced a lot of secondary buds with your approach. You need to try RQS F1 Hybrids; my Orion is growing like crazy.
@Sejanus21, thanks! It's coming along better than I expected for my first one.
Yeah I've looked into them actually, looks like real fun to grow!
I want to try out photos for my next run but I will for sure look more into the F1's.
