vareciarotto Submerged seeds in distilled glass of water that was pH’d down to ~7 from 8+. Sat on heating mat at approximately 82°F. They popped overnight with 3mm tails and were sewn in peat pellets. One of the sprouts had a helmet head and that cotyledon has a little white flare on it. Both seeds were viable and they seem healthy.

vareciarotto So far so good! Both seedlings have taken to the grow environment and are popping out true leaves. Peat pellets were transferred to pints containing the buffered coco mix. For this grow I'll be using the GH line of nutrients and following their feedchart fertigation amounts. Both plants have been hand-watered twice over the first week with a light feed.

vareciarotto Transplanted to 1/2 gallon containers. It may have been a bit too soon. The roots looked healthy but they may not have populated the bulk of the pint. Plants showed a little bit of stress after the repot—hoping they'll be back to normal in the next day or so. The coco substrate is also holding on to more water than I'd like to see at this point.

vareciarotto Both plants coming along well. One appears to be showing a little nute burn and is progressing slightly slower. Smell is wonderful; mild earthy and pine. Keeping them in 0.5 gal for another week before the transfer to final containers.

vareciarotto Transplanted to final containers and topped to begin mainlining. Transfer went fine. The stress on both plants seems to have had minimal impact, as new growth from the third node appears strong and healthy.

vareciarotto Coming along! Both plants have experienced moderate stress from the training, and the smaller plant is a bit behind on node development. However I noticed that the larger plant may have some pollen sacs forming. We’ll see where that goes!

vareciarotto Both plants got the third trim. Sloppy trimming lost one of the leaf tips on the larger, leaving seven potential colas. Smaller plant is about 5-6 days behind on growth, but I'll plan on flipping them together in about another week after the next defoliation.

vareciarotto This was the final veg week for these two. Moderately stressful training has both plants setup for the flip today. Plant 1 is sparse but has potential for nice even colas. Plant 2 has two snapped branches, making for more uneven growth and possibly one or two dominant nodes. Will keep doing some LST on both as the weeks progress. Happy Winter solstice!

vareciarotto First week of flip going well. Held off on defoliating this week and will plan on handling that at the end of week 9. Noticed fungus gnats made it into the tent somehow. Didn’t think they’d be interested in coco, but they’ve arrived!

vareciarotto Into week two of the flowering schedule. Preflowers are fully underway on both plants, and the smaller (1) is showing some purple. The smell is starting to kick up a bit and it lingers in the room for a good while after working in the tent. :) I did some mild LST with a few clips here and there to try and keep the canopy relatively even. Next week I'll defoliate a bit to get better air flow.

vareciarotto Both well on their way in week three of flower. Still fighting with the fungus gnats but it's been a winning battle. Did some defoliating on the lower branches, mainly just the solar panels that weren't catching anymore light.

vareciarotto The flowers are starting to fill out this week. Noticed there may have been some hidden pollen sacs on some of the lower stems. Oh well, I'm going to keep it going and will sterilize the tent at the end if it has truly hermied.

vareciarotto Swollen bracts on many of the bud sites appear to be pollenated, but I haven't been able to locate any sacs. Smells is definitely kicking into high gear—terrific gassy/diesel/earth with a little hint of lemon.

vareciarotto Getting quite a few seeds lol. Think they both got pregnant, definitely 1 did. Not seeing any developed seeds on 2 yet but have a feeling there will be many. Seeing them through anyway. Filter running double time as the smell is starting to be much more pronounced.

vareciarotto Final week before chop. Lots of milk and many amber starting to show up. We'll see how it goes, and how many seeds she's made - seems to be quite a few. Looking forward to harvest!

vareciarotto Got a half lb with lots of seeds! Decided to grind everything down and make green dragon (750 ml). Despite the herm (probably due to the HST), this strain was super enjoyable to grow, and is quite potent. All in all, a great time!
