11/10
Started with a water float for approximately 40 hours, originally started with 4 seeds on the evening of 11/10. Placed pill container on top of fridge (dark and warm).
11/12
3/4 seeds cracked, and transferred seeds into a paper towel and plastic bag with a dash of mycorrhizal fungus, if it can even innoculate sprouts, added warm water and placed the bag on top of my router as it is nice and warm and always on! **Highly recommend the router germination** The remaining seed did not crack. Out of concern it wouldn't germinate, I started the 5th seed. Placed it in a double bath, a pill bottle with water floating inside a cup of hot water (basically tea temperature water). Left it sitting for approximately 2 hours and transferred to the napkin.
11/13
Transferred all seeds into grow sponges, and transferred into aerogarden setup. Water was pH adjusted to 6.5 with 2ml/gal of beneficial bacteria. The 3 seeds that cracked previously all have good taproot development, appears to be one dud in the original 4. The extra seed that I started yesterday has cracked!! Had some issues placing the longer taproots deep in the grow sponges, nature finds a way so we should be okay in time. Included a small space heater to keep temperatures in the tent higher
11/14
Two have air roots forming on the longer taproot seedlings, and the same two appear to have pushed out of grow sponges slightly. Standing up and pushing the humidity domes already. Unfortunately fighting low humidity with the small space heater addition. Have a humidifier on order that should arrive tomorrow.
11/15
Had to cut the grow sponges and place the taproots down in the sponges, otherwise they would keep pushing out. The 5th seed I germinated I pulled a seed pod off that was hanging and pulled a starter leaf off - thought I killed it but was surprised to see it is pushing through, maybe a bit stunted. removed humidity domes as I could now rely on the humidifier. Went with a 6L to make it more hands-off.
11/21
Transplanted seedlings from the aerogarden to the full-on DWC setup. Moved the humidifier and ceramic heater.
12/4
Plants are growing nicely! Light set at 35% on dimmer at about 24 inches. Currently on 24-0 light schedule to help manage temperature fluctuations as it gets quite cold in the evenings and want the plants to establish before putting through large temperature swings. No ventilation, just circulation right now. One of the top ports is open, buttom flaps are essentially shut - this allows natural circulation but at a very slow rate so I can manage the temp/humidity easier while the plants establish. Ventilation will be needed in the coming weeks.
I noticed that the heater was blowing hot air at and damaging the plant closest to it. I lowered the heater and adjusted fans to help ensure heat is dispersed.
Went much lighter on nutrient mix this time due to the anecdotes I have seen online from humic acid and the impact it can have in hydroponic applications. So far in the first few days plants are responding very well to the new mix.

Continuing to LST the plants down and towards the corners of the tent. Increasing light intensity to 40%. Still on 24-0.
12/12
Flipping light schedule to 18-6 instead of 24-0. Some signs of light stress and high humidity. Lowered the set point of the humidifier and adjusted tent flaps to promote natural circulation. Plants are almost ready for the trellis net!
Plant leaves have a waxy look to them after adding in some silica, not sure if I will keep that in the protocol or not.
12/14
added trellis net to aid in LST. Had humidifier malfunction and pushed humidity to 100% in the tent. Wiped the tent down and left the humidifier off until the levels came back to normal.

light intensity set to about 50%, continuing to increase intensity in these next few days to continue pushing the plants in size before flipping to flower. Training the plants slowly towards the corners - defoliating some larger fan leaves to let the other branches develop. Soon to put in secondary 6x6 net to continue training the plants. At that point a major trimming and defol and about 3 days after that I will flip it to flower.
12//22
Light adjusted for 450-500 PPFD at center of the canopy. Planning to introduce a second trellis net (6x6) here in the next few days! Nodes are starting to knuckle up and get ready to bear some weight!

I have slowly been increasing light intensity the last few days - currently 150W light at 80%. Saw some magnesium or nitrogen deficiency in the back right corner plant. The nutrients are increased this week and will be increasing light. I don't imagine this being a full week of veg. due to the size of the plants already - likely to flip light cycle in a few days to allow them to stretch.
I have 80W additional LED lights to use in flower to push the plants if needed.
12/27
Light adjusted to 50 DLI according to photone app. Preparing for flower transition with light defoliation on the top and slight lolly popping on the undercarriage. Will give the plant at least 1 full day of recovery before flipping it into flower.

Light increased to 100% intensity and timer switched to 12 hours. DLI measured at 33. Spotted trifoliation mutation while trimming and training the plants!
12/30
Added breadyeast C02 generator to the tent as humidity levels are slightly higher as the plants fill out. Added additional circulating fan as well.
12/31
Still fighting slightly high humidity under the canopy while lights are on - working to manage that with defoliation and active ventilation/circulation.
1/1
Spotting female expressions on 3 of 4 plants so far. Keeping a close eye on the last plant. Raised lights slightly to keep a 30-40 DLI at the center of the canopy. Noticing the uneven light distribution across the canopy is promoting super-dense growth at the center of the tent. Planning to turn on additional lighting to step up DLI spread across the canopy.
1/2
Added 80W of lighting, total light is 230 watts just before lights off. DLI at the center of the canopy is still 30-40, edges of the canopy are now 25 rather than 10. Spotted a female expression on the fourth hold-out plant. Not super convincing yet, so will keep a close eye on it over the next few days.
1/3
Defoliated a good amount of fan leaves that were contorted or trying to spend energy inverting or turning themselves. First day with additional lighting and the temp/humidity was no issue - plants looked super bushy when checking in the PM. They are drinking right around 1 gallon of water per day - topping off with equivalent nutrient solution until ppm climbs and then topping off with only pH-adjusted water until ppm stabilize or resevoir change required. Last week I topped the resevoir and did not drain and fill - so this week will need to drain and fill, pH controls are not a problem but PPM is climbing.

Conducted a water change - drain and fill. Continuing to defoliate as needed. Plants are stretching slowly this time. Have had much better results working to dial in the crop steering with DLI measurements across the canopy. Still adjusting lights up in anticipation of week 3/4/5 - I want most of the stretch done before week 3.
1/9
Conducted more defoliation under the canopy, pruning a lot of the would-be larf. Slowly letting the PPM rise in the reservoir to prepare for stiff week 3 nutrients! This week's water change started at 525 ppm, currently up to 725 ppm. Continuing to move the main light up to prevent DLI spiking in the center of the canopy too early. Due to the amount of plant matter and the height of the lights, the daytime temperatures have risen considerably - plants are compensating for the humidity, so I am not adjusting the humidifier.

Drained 2 gallons off the reservoir and refilled with about 3 gallons of week 3 nutrients. DLI measuring 60+ at the center of the canopy. Conducted a good bit of defoliation under the plant.
1/12
Replaced the CO2 generator this morning. Continuing to adjust lights to maintain DLI.
1/15
Rearranged the lights to give more space to the oscillating fan that is always on so it is not constantly blowing on the canopy. I needed the space to move it up but the light bar was getting in the way. One of the fans that is slightly lower is only on while the lights are on so I am content with that one being slightly lower and underneath the light bars.

Full drain and fill water change in the morning. Continuing to prune as needed to open space for bud development and light penetration. I unfortunately did spot a few male pollen sacks - not surprised as they have not been without stress. Some seeds might occur, but I did a thorough inspection and removed what I could see that was obvious or suspicious-looking development. The plants all still look great and the top development is very strong thus far! Very minor signs of a deficiency - will try to prepare tailored top-off nutrients.
1/21
Slightly stronger top-off nutrients seemed to help with the slight deficiency in the back left plant. All plants are moving along nicely. Have continued to defoliate large fan leaves as needed to allow space for bud development and light penetration. Humidity is becoming a concern as the plants are perspiring so much I am seeing as high as 78% humidity with the lights on. Adjusting the tent flaps to allow faster turnover of the air, humidity outside the tent is about 40% at most.
1/23
Replaced the light fixture with a single 320w LED light. Was having issues with managing the lights and DLI in the tent relative to the canopy area. Decided it was time to make this part of the process easier and was definitely worth it as the DLI coverage is much more consistent and this light fixture has a more dominant red spectrum so it is a much better flowering light in the first place: win - win - win! Continuing to defoliate leaves where needed once leaves grow large enough. Plants look very happy under this light and are continuing to drink the same amount, Temperatures with the light on have increased from 79F to 82F. Canopy is dense and very full!

Drain and fill 2-gallon water change in the afternoon: ppm 966, pH 6.1. I have been actively pruning leaves and some suspicious development under the canopy, also continuing to defoliate the top canopy Probably need to defoliate the top a lot more to help with humidity.c
1/26
Some tip bleaching on a few of the central buds - shut off the additional heater and am working to reduce humidity. The filter sleeve is likely getting clogged with hard minerals from tap water in the humidifier and slowing down the turnover of air, which is allowing humidity to increase. I added some humidifier tabs to try and keep the mineral deposits down, but may not be effective enough. Peeled back a little bit of the sleeve and will see how things go over the next few days.
1/28
The plant with the slight signs of nutrient problems has slightly delayed flower development. One of the drawbacks of 4 plants sharing the same 5-gallon reservoir is that it is difficult to cater to picky phenotypes. Buds are looking nice and full though, smell is coming in stronger by the day. Replaced CO2 yeast generator yesterday morning.

Full drain and fill in the afternoon. 3 gallons fill the 5-gallon reservoir now, meaning there is a ton of root volume (approximately 1.5 gallons of roots :D). Going to lower light intensity here in the next few days, light at 75% puts it at a perfect 45DLI at top of canopy. Due to the somewhat uneven canopy and the thicker lower growth, I am going to keep the light at 100% for most of week 6 and then reduce to 75% for normal cropsteering.
2/5
Nutrient deficiency popping up late with the back right plant - looks to be either PK or manganese combined with calcium. The front right plant has signs of calcium deficiency. Hit the reservoir with a nutrient shot of bloom and calmag. Overall plants are looking great and flower development is phenomenal. Trichomes are developing nicely, every stalk has a head and they are nice and full. Most trichs are starting to cloud up, and some on fan leaves are starting to amber. The smell is coming in stronger and stronger as the days pass.
2/7
Spotting some nanners late on front right plant. Removing what I can, but will probably shoot for harvest on 2/17ish. Reduced lighting to 75% power, increasing airflow, and reducing humidity. Nutrient change tomorrow will likely be just to ph adjusted water, cal mag, and hydroguard. I want to try and force the finish to be next weekend.

2/8 (day 43 flower)
Full drain and fill today. Replaced CO2 as well. Plants are maturing at different speeds so harvest will be interesting to say the least. After seeing the stress nanners from late last week, I decided to leave the nutriemts at a slightly elevated level until closer to the end of week 7. Top off nutrients are right around 450ppm.
2/9 (day 44 flower)
Had to support one branch with a wooden dowel on the back left plant. The buds on that plant are getting so large and heavy. It is making the branches lean over other colas and block the light. This is why I decided to support it slightly, but I think the branches could support more before truly snapping - just not interested in pushing the limits and obscuring other buds.
2/12 (day 47 flower)
Adding supports where needed for heavy colas that are toppling over. Trying to keep the canopy from falling over and creating humidity concerns during these last few days of flower. Buds are nice and dense covered in trichomes! Reservoir PPM is very stable along with pH - a nice change from last grow where my pH was swinging wildly.
2/14 (day 49 flower)
PPM of the reservoir is rising when checking in the evening (650ppm), indicating it is no longer up taking nutrients at the same rate - time to begin the flush. Full drain and fill of the reservoir during the evening, 350ppm, 6.1 pH after drain and fill. Top off water will be strictly pH adjusted and hydro guard.
Buds are getting heavy, so working to manage the weight and stability of the canopy. As seen by the extra strings and dowel rods showing up as the week progressed.
2/15 (day 50 flower)
Full water change in the evening yesterday, reservoir showing slightly higher pH and PPM this morning. Top off water is now just pH adjusted with hydro guard and humic. Will plan to drop the humic when PPM is closer to 300 in the reservoir.
All four plants are maturing at different speeds still, maybe a few days apart for true maturity. Still trying to crop steer these into finishing sooner - keeping a close eye on trichomes. It is difficult to check top/mid/bottom for 4 different plants when you cannot access all corners of the tent.
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
85% clear, 14% cloudy, 1 % amber on buds.
2/16 (day 51 flower)
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe

2/17 (day 52 flower)
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
17% clear, 80% cloudy, 3% amber
2/19 (day 54 flower)
Reservoir: 250PPM, 6.2pH. Waiting a few more days to harvest until the back left plant shows a bit more maturity. The front right plant is throwing additional late nanners - will likely be a hash plant at this point.
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
10% clear, 87% cloudy, 3% amber.
2/21 (day 56 flower)
Reservoir: ppm 270, 5.6pH. Planning a final drain and fill in the morning to get pH up and reduce remaining ppm. Light has been reduced to 50% intensity, temperatures dropped considerably. Daytime temps around 70F, night temps around 65F, and humidity hovers right around 50%. The smell is wonderful right now - very little skunk, tons of fruity notes. I decided to leave most of the remaining fan leaves and other plant matter to allow the plant to pull nutrients from the leaves as I have removed the nutrients from the reservoir, especially since they are all finishing at different speeds. Calcium deficiency still progressing on the back right plant - still maturing just fine - looks cool next to the purples, whites, and pinks!
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
4% clear, 93% cloudy, 3% amber
2-22 (day 57 flower)
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
2% clear, 95% cloudy, 3% amber
Continuing to see nanners on one of the plants, likely due to light stress from last week. Overall they are looking great and finishing nicely. The back left plant is a bit behind in maturity with the least amount of amber trics, but wouldn't be surprised to see it catch up in short order. Planning on a harvest around day 59/60 of flower.
2-23 (day 58 flower)
Trichome visual assessment with 30x loupe
96% cloudy, 4% amber
Reservoir PPM 210, pH 5.9. Going to pull the lights tonight and give it 24 hours of darkness before harvest on 2/24. Three plants are absolutely ready for harvest, back left plant could realistically use another few days to finish. Unfortunately due to the nanners and a little bit of fox tailing on two other plants, I am deciding to harvest a bit earlier. I need to cut down the entire canopy at once due to using the tent that they are currently growing in as the drying tent.
2-24, Day 59 harvest
Plants were all cut down together. Hung to allow tent conversion to drying setup and reloaded into the tent. Some nicer images were taken with the R100 cannon camera, and also a mix of images from my iPhone and my buddy's Note7. Current drying environment: 62F, 62% humidity.
2-26, Day 2 drying
The tent is very stable around 60% humidity and 60F. I have the tent set up for negative pressure to pull a slight vacuum, ensuring the air will turnover inside the tent, with one oscillating fan helping to distribute the humidifier mist. I have an external air purifier running with active carbon filters to manage the smell.
