Not much to report this week, I am starting to notice some rising water temps so that is something I'll have to keep an eye on since I had run ins with root rot before due to high water temps.
So yeah the rising water temps have definitely been an issue this week and we are seeing that root rot has taken place on two of the girls in the tent (This one included)
So she is starting to show signs of improvement and I think we might be out of the danger zone with the root rot, I have managed to get the water temps a bit lower by placing the two 5-gallon buckets that were affected by root rot in a larger 27 gallon tub and filled that with colder water around 68 degrees to help cool down the 5-gallon buckets
So yes definetly think that she has bounced back from the root rot but I do believe that I might have caused enough stress to cause an early flower as I am already seeing pistils show up.
So yeah she has for sure started her stretch, her leaf structure and formation is quite unique and weird (maybe even a bit ugly) but I really just hoping that I will she her pretty purple reds come thorugh!
Gave her a small bit of defoliation to reveal some of the bud sites but I tried to very careful not to take too much off as she does not has very much leaf development so I'm not expecting too many more leaves to come in.
Well ended up being quite busy over Christmas and New Year's so only really had time to peek my head in and do my readings and feed the girls. So sorry for the missed weeks!
But we are starting to see some of that beautiful color show up!
Ran into some issues this week when i was unable to refill the water on my girls for a couple of days but I do not think that it affected this girl as she is a very light drinker so she had not emptied her bucket
She has really been putting on some weight and she has taken on the most awesome deep dark purple/red color and she looks awesome with those colors, she is significantly smaller than the rest of her tentmates but with that coloring I don't really mind that she is not the biggest I would still rate her as one of my favorites in the tent so far!
