Vicoda I used the method of soaking the seed in water for 24 hours in a glass of about 300ml with 3 drops of hydrogen peroxide... then I placed it on a damp paper towel using a spray bottle and checked it after 24 hours... I re-moistened the paper towel with the spray bottle because the root still hadn't germinated... after leaving it for another 12 hours (36 hours in total), the root was ready, and that's when I planted it in its final pot.

Vicoda High humidity, watering every two days with 500 ml and rooting agent…. The plant is 5cm tall, looks good but I feel it could be better… I will start considering the beginning of its vegetative cycle and will start watering with vegetative fertilizer.

Vicoda Hello! Sorry, I uploaded the weekly progress a day late, which means it's day 15, it has finished its second week of vegetative growth and is starting the third. The next day after I uploaded last week's diary, it presented two problems… the first, it started to show a bit of less intense green in some parts of the damaged leaf and I already suspected pH issues, however, the white mold afflicted my plant… I knew that the 90% humidity could cause it but I expected there wouldn't be any problems due to the weather… maybe during the "seedling" stage I should have taken the aquarium away at least a day earlier to lower the humidity. How did I handle it? I removed the mold with my finger, the fungus, it was very little, a small fuzz in two spots, and I added microdacín, after a few hours the fungus seemed to persist but I repeated the process and it didn't show up again. At the same time, the pH symptom was advancing but I doubted if it was that or a nutrient deficiency… the next day the damage progressed almost as it looked but at a smaller size relative to the plant's growth… how did I solve it? I simply watered with a slightly lower pH maybe 5.7-5.9 but this time I introduced a liter to lower the pH of the entire substrate (the light mix I bought tends to alkalinize and present deficiencies due to the nutrient absorption range) and I added 4ml/L of fertilizer, however, it slightly damaged the tip so from then on I readjusted to 2ml/L I hope to maintain good growth and apply some LST 😃 Good smokes 420 🥦

Vicoda It's finished its 3rd week and it looks spectacular! It shows no signs of deficiencies or shortages, so everything seems to be going smoothly at the moment :) I'll start its LST, expect results next week 😃

Vicoda It's week 4 and now it's shorter! I started LST at the end of last week and I've needed to make adjustments every 1 or 2 days. There are some leaves showing deficiency with their spots... those spots are signs of calcium deficiency. Calcium stops being absorbed when the substrate is too acidic. Maybe the substrate was acidic, but remember I mentioned that this brand tends to alkalinize (the opposite of acidic substrate), so it took me by surprise... I had to water with a bit more water but with a pH of about 6.8-7.2. Doing a bit of research, I found that some plants show those spots purely due to genetics... I didn't find solid evidence to back it up, but I wouldn't be surprised if that statement is true. It might have to do with it a bit or maybe the substrate was more acidic... (we won't know since I don't have a substrate pH meter). Other than that, everything looks good... On the third day trying to make adjustments to the LST, I cut a couple of young branches with the wire and put a bit of cinnamon where the stems were cut... Everything is going reasonably well 👌 See you next week!

Vicoda Completed its 5th week! (more like a day because I should have posted it yesterday) Growth continues to progress and this week I increased the dosage by 1 ml (next week I think I'll raise it to 4ml/L) since I started to notice a bit of discoloration on some leaves, although over-fertilizing is something I need to keep in mind. I will keep doing LST maybe a couple more sessions because I'm sure it won't be long before entering flowering and I hope to establish a good structure before that moment so it starts to grow upwards, I hope it goes well; it's my first LST 😃 Follow this diary week by week 😃
