Not too sure about her. She definitely wasn't a true autoflower. Maybe more of a fast flowering variety or just a lot less ruderalis in her genes. I raised her on an autoflower schedule because that's what the package said it was.. I was expecting her to grow like her description in 10-14 weeks TOPS.. she didn't even start her flowering phase until weeks 13-14.
18 weeks later and all growth has come to a hault, with a pretty pathetic yield and tiny buds/colas and her trichomes are starting to turn amber. Kinda confused about her genetics and the turnout but it was quite a frusterating learning experience for my first autoflower grow. I hope the other Northern Lights Autoflower seed that was in the 3-pack grows more like as advertised, im also keeping a diary on her to compare and contrast with the first NL Auto grow; labeled Northern Lights #2.
Harvesting her in sections Top half/Bottom half but she will be completely harvested and hung upside down to dry for 7-10 days by the end of this weekend.
Wish my first "autoflower" grow experience was a better one, but I currently have 3 other autoflowering strains that are doing very well with very promising results and FAT buds. he Tangerine Dream auto will also be ready for harvest by the end of the week after flushing her slowly through the first part of the week.
I hope to try growing Northern Lights again but this time more successful 🙏🏽
Thanks for all the help/wisdom and learning with me Growmies! ✌️
Is this normal for NL Auto from growers choice to not start flowering until late? I'm on week 8 with NO flower, doesn't even seem to be in pre-flower yet. I'm growing concerned and impatient LoL
Change your light settings to 12/12, I know it’s an auto but sometimes they need some help to turning into flower, I have this problem twice with same strains each time: royal AK by RQS
Autoflower cannabis plants have no set time. Every Pheno is going to be different and with the NL...they are monsters brother. They get big so they need a lot of attention and training. Just be patient, you got yourself a winner 😉
I am running the same beans and strains as you! My NL was always further behind than my TD. This is my first grow so I messed up veg stage and am still learning. I noticed when I moved both plants to 18 hours light, my NL is catching right up!
