Hello growers,
New year, New Strains and 2024 will be the year of Sativa hybrids for myself. After trying out the Indica strain developed by a Chiang Mai local, its now time to test out the Sativa they breed using Liberty Haze x Thai Sativa. She is a feminized
Germination took 5 days in a peat pellet. I only soaked the seed 12 hours while the pellet was soaked in water mixed with spoonful of kelp powder.
After 4 days the roots started to break through the pellets at the bottom so she was moved into a 1L pot with soil.
She will live under a purple light for the first week.
Merry Christmas fellow people.
Hello growers
Hope you had a great Christmas or Holiday if you don't celebrate the red man.
Back with the first week of Veg and going to keep it simple. Moved her into the Veg tent and feed her with some calcium/magnesium/molasses. She is getting around 0.2L every 4-5 days due to the winter cold. Currently 7 degress outside and been like this for the past week. Sitting around 16-18 degress inside the tent and RH is stable at 65%. Night time its droping to 10 degrees.
Watering once a week keeping all the soil wet for roots to grow. Onwards to 2024. See you next year
Hello growers,
Week 2 kicked off. Growth looking good and no clear issues so far. Soil is still fairly soaked from last watering almost 5 days ago so just leaving her until she needs more.
Will add pictures as the week goes on.
Hello growers
Enter W3 for this girl.
Watered her the day with calcium/epsom/molasses. I'm drenching the soil once a week and it seems to be enough to last 7 days.
Few more weeks then I'll move her to a bigger pot (2L) with her friends in the tent. Added a group photo of the 2024 gang.
Hello growers
Week 4 started off with a transplant into her final pot. Her roots looked nice and I added some mycorrhizae to help with root development. I removed the first true leaves during the process.
No nutrients just Cal/Epsom mix. Will update photos as the week goes on.
Hello growers.
Week 5 ticking over. Think there was a bit of transplant shock as she was slower than the others to show growth this week after being placed into her new pot. Topping will happen mid week
Watered in some sugars and cal/epsom (6.3). This week I'll brew up an SST (barley) feed it in also. Few weeks to go before moving into the flower tent
Hello growers
Topped a few days ago and feed in some barley tea. Slowing cooking for #1 while #2 seems to be loving life.
Will add photos as the week goes on.
Hello growers
Both plants seem to be growing nicely after removing the tops. Soil PH was a bit higher than i liked but now both have dropped down to 6-6.5. Just watering (6.1-6.3) this week. PPM runoff is 1400
Hello growers,
Moved both plants into the flowering tent. Flowering under 300w purple and two 100w white/red LED.
First feeding will happen this week for flowering phase. Brewing an SST (alfalfa) and adding some salts because looks like #2 might bee having some Mag deficiency in her new growth. PPM of the run off is still 1200, watering PH is 6.3
Hello growers
Good news both plants a female 11/11 for this breeder. no issues over the last year of growing this strain other than some leaf deformity.
Week 2 and both stretching. Watering in extra salts for #2 and they are getting 0.5ml of 6.3 fish tank water daily. No tip burning this run so far.
Added new clips to #2, Removed #1 due to bananas forming.
Hello growers
Lost our #1 to bananas but let's not think about that too much as we have a beautiful plant still going.
Removed most of the clip this week, she is taking shape nicely. Watering every 2-3 days and also spraying down every morning due to the dry air rn. Will dry feed in more casting this week also.
Hello growers
An undercover hermie was discovered. Lots of seeds started development
Was a good attempt not sure if it was genetics or maybe I stressed it too much but either way I'll just have to run it back another time.
In the end the 5 plants I grew out did dnt have an issue with hermie but these last two seed did.
It will make a nice bouquet for a friend bday today at least.
Until the next journey stay safe
