23 Dec - Evening @ 8PM - Excited! Third grow here we go (whilst simultaneously running my second grow into flower & a third outdoor started)!
24 Dec - a lot of seeds popped already. Will wait until morning to put in soil with a longer/stronger root.
25 Dec - 36hrs from putting seeds in water - all seeds now germinated & planted in moist soil, high perlite % (approx 50% and minimal nutes), temps between 25-28c, on 18hr light cycle, 50% on edge of light strength (see photo) and lightly misted with ph’d but nute free water (will be doing daily) in humidity dome with vents 100% open, good air flow around).
N.B. Mimosa x Orange Punch had fallen out of shell already. Will see if becomes a problem now it’s in the soil. Planted with coldeyns just on soil line with fine soil v v lightly dressed to cover. Decent root so hopefully will be okay.
26 Dec - everything looking okay and misting pots and dome every 12 hrs (AM & PM). Vents mostly - 75% - closed, with fans going in the tent.
27 Dec - signs of life with all seeds still - most just about to pop through soil line (AM), now having popped above soil line (PM). Still misting every 12 hours and photos above just before another misting. Working well. So happy. First grow 25% success rate, second grow 50%, so hoping for a 75%+ this time! Really putting the time and trust in, not overwatering (past mistake) and using humidity not trying to water non existent root system (caring too much)!
28 Dec - tracking nicely! CLONES TAKEN FROM TRIPLE CHEESE AND RUNTZ MUFFIN (rooted by 17 Jan).
29/30 Dec (1am!) - further progress. Wld lyk to see Charlotte’s CBD above soil pls!
30 Dec (PM) - getting there! Choc mint, fat banana & Mimosa x Orange Punch into veg now, with Frisian Duck, Gorilla Zkittlez, SAGE CBD above soil but waiting on seed head to fall off and CBD Charlotte’s Angel to come above soil line. Sunday tomorrow. Might start ‘veg’ on Monday for simplicity and the hope others will be up and away!
1st week of veg! Decided to start now because leaves visible now on half the strains & it’s a Monday!
1 Jan - Choc Mint, Fat Banana & Frisian Duck looking strong. Others lagging but due to my fault - bumping the prop tray and being too hot & dry in veg tent which needs modifications to make cooler and more moist before I put them back in - hence why on 12/12 in flower tent until sorted (hopefully later this week).
2 Jan - above developing further and Gorilla Zittlez & SAGE CBD showing potential for survival. Unsure about CBD Charlotte’s. Misted all as soil looks decently wet still.
3 Jan - Choc Mint, Fat banana & Frisian duck great. Others not so! Would’ve been my knocking over and 1st time veg tent VPD which went SKY high (1.6+!!) which f*kd the rest up sadly. NEVERTHELESS, 3rd time germinating and 50% successful into rooted seedling stage, last time was 33%, time before that 0%….so progress??
5 Jan - four survivors, maybe SAGE CBD too but we’ll see by tomorrow…(Mimosa x Orange still staying tiny but waiting patiently).
8 Jan - AT LAST veg tent set up to handle the heat and on 18 hours.
10 Jan - two days under veg light at 18hrs looking amaizng.
12 Jan - dome got like a greenhouse as light was too close and 32 deg C outside & in tent - hurting Frisian duck (least Dev) the most sadly. Lightly misting and trying to help. Let’s hope it survives.
3rd week if veg. Been up and down so far. Battle extreme heat and low humidity but purchased humidifier and got fan set up going. Removed dome to reduce greenhouse heat trap effect, dimmed light a little but more importantly moved further away so less direct LED hitting plants. friscian duck sadly struggling due to the above having been behind the others and overwatered to compensate but battling that too! Ugh! Will get there!!
15 Jan - Choc Mint & Fat Banana looking great despite the above challenges. Clones put into tent.
17 Jan - all watered.
19 Jan - all watered.
21 - all watered. Just coping with high 30 deg heat - using humidifier to help. Will transfer day after tomorrow (unless they dry up a bit overnight).
22 Jan - added low fan on plants directly. Will hopefully transplant tomorrow if media dry enough as watered yesterday.
24 Jan - watered all and transplanted into final 10 gallon (39L?) pots. Watered 500ml each. Some were very root bound so why unhappy - let’s hope they bounce back.
25 Jan - power set to ‘2pm’ (75% (120W))
26 Jan - happier again.
27 Jan - all watered w nutes. all looking very happy, better colour and faster growth.
Week 5 veg.
29 Jan - doing well, growing quickly.
30 Jan - should’ve topped /LST’d yesterday but watering tomorrow so will do then.
31 Jan - all watered 500ml each w nutes. Choc mint topped 5th node.
3 Feb - watered 500ml w/nutes. Topped Fat banana 6th node as more bushy.
4 Feb - topped clones that needed it & LST’d everything. (Should’ve done earlier but busy)!
5 Feb - LST adjustments & mild defol bottom most node & leaves.
7 Feb - watered w nutes 500ml each. (Should’ve watered yesterday but plants seem fine).
10 Feb - watered w nutes 500ml each.
11 Feb - LST’d all plants fully with lateral branches now included today.
13 Feb - watered w nutes
Week 7 of veg!
12 Feb - recovering from LST yesterday, with Fat banana particularly bouncing back. All looking great. Not concerned about smaller Runtz Muffin clones as mother grows fewer but larger beautiful dense buds. Probably suits a shorter veg time.
16 Feb - watered 1L/plant with seaweed, silica and bud burst & nitrogen feed.
17 Feb - 100% light intensity now and moved all plants closer towards the middle to make more light efficient - absorbing some of the other light too! ALSO LST’d Runtz clones a bit as smallest and bushiest!
19 Feb - all watered 750ml/each w bud burst & seadweed. Foiler spray to boost humidity nitrogen feed.
21 Feb - watered 1L/each (oops should’ve done tomorrow - day early)!
24 Feb - topped/cut branches for clones and defol’d bottom of plants to clear from soil line and open up air flow. All watered no nutes 1L each.
Choc Mint tallest, most colas. Banana nicest shape and Runtz and Triple Cheese clones looking happy!
Week 1 of flower:
26 Feb - light at 50% power (320w), flipped to flower (25th night). Keeping VPD below 1.1kpa.
27 Feb - 60% power (384w) light intensity now. All watered with nutes. 1.5L each.
1 March - 70% power (448w) light intensity now. Watered with nutes 1.5L each.
2nd week of flower!
4 March - watered 1.5L/each, w heavy nutes before stretch.
7 March - watered 1.5L/each, w/only silica added. VPD kept @ still 1.1 max, w/light intensity at 80% as of 6 March.
10 March - watered w heavy nutes 1.75L each.
Week 3 of flower!
11 March - looking great! VPD still kept close to 1.1 as possible & light intensity maintained still at 80% (512W).
13 March - watered 1.75L each, no nutes.
16 March - watered 2L each, with nutes (excluding nitrogen for 1-2 weeks as plants seem very happy and green). Second SCROG added 10cm above. VPD max set at 1.2 now.
Week 4 of flower:
18 March - looking great! Very weak smell developing.
19 March - watered 1.75L each w/low nitrogen feed + bud burst. Best grow yet…looks incredible and whole tent filled! Choc mint by far the largest, Runtz Muffin the sweetest and sugariest, Fat Banana nice smell too, Triple Cheese a good all rounder!
22 March - watered w supp nutes 2L each.
Week 5 of flowering, looking great. Sugaring up nicely. Aroma now becoming very noticeable.
25 March - watered w nutes 2L each.
28 March - watered w nutes 2L each.
31 March - minimal PK nutes 2L each. Runtz Harvested as hermied. Disappointed- these two clones both hermied upon inspection with male flowers and a few bananas. No other plants in tent hermied and conditions have been optimal this run. Clones from mother which hermied last run but not picked up until harvest but gave a second chance with clones as weather had been very hot.
6th week of flower:
April 1 - 90% light intensity now. VPD being maintained high of 1.2. Temps getting quite low now. Hard to balance with humidity - but dehumidifer stops it reaching too high.
April 3 - watered all 2.5L each, w nutes.
6 April -
Week 9 of flower:
22 April - last week! Watered yesterday. Will probably harvest Wednesday @ 59 days. Triple Cheese and Fat Banana deffo ready, waiting on chocolate mint!
25 April - day 60 of flower - all plants harvested after 12 hrs of darkness (first thing before lights on)! Could run Chocolate Mint for another few days but logistically cant.
BETTER AND BETTER EACH GROW I DO IN YIELD AND QUALITY - very happy!! Will take a break after 4th grow complete for winter. May return doing RDWC but soil does work really well for me now getting 1g/W +!
