Put down 2 banana macs and 2 Bruce banners #3 in a soaked paper towel in between 2 plates and left in the airing cupboard, both banana macs came through in a day with a strong tail, 1 Bruce banner showing signs of life. 4th day going strong and ready to move to pots, the 2nd bruce banner didn’t sprout so left me with 3 plants, but more space to open them out for mainlining. By day 5 I moved them into coco noir pots, under my 600w hps, misting the soil with just water no nutrients for the first 3 days to introduce them to their new homes ( I’ve moved to racks as drip trays to prevent stagnant water )
Light breeze in the tent, Introduced nutrients to the plants, both banana macs producing identical results, strong stem formed and 2 nodes seen on both. Maybe went a little hard on introducing nutrients, should have done 50% first day then full nutrients on 2nd but I was in a rush to get things going.
Light set to 30cm on 250w, BB did a little stretch up on me, he’ll be fine
Couple of events this week:
- changed nutrients to veg week 3 where I’ll use this mix until flower. I’m adding 1ml per 2l of bloom booster during this time, this is a dilution of 1/4 the normal mix for flower and doing this every other feed. Provides me better vegging results normally.
- Bruce banner had a nutrient lockout, flushed with water for a day, and then introduced nutrients again and is back to full health. Not sure if it’s something I’m doing, or if it’s weak genetics from that seed making it susceptible to shock. Probably me.
- topped all plants, and reduced to 2 identical nodes. Starting mainlining process early. Tied down all 4 arms of the banana macs, but I’m allowing Bruce banner a couple of days to grow out before starting lst
